Chapter 24 Reading Comprehension: The Young Master's Behavior

Guan Zhibao was still listening to Fang Datu praising his son.

Suddenly I received a call from Fang Yuan.

When the cell phone rang, Fang Datu was still not satisfied and anxiously asked Guan Zhibao who was calling.

Guan Zhibao lowered his voice and answered that it was Fang Yuan.

Fang Datu immediately wiped away the unhappiness on his face, and stared at Guan Zhibao, wanting to know what they had talked about.

He just heard.

"Uh-huh……"

"OK……"

"I see……"

"I will do it right away and notify you when there is a result."

Fang Datu was so anxious that he scratched his head. After Guan Zhibao hung up the phone, he immediately asked what Fang Yuan had said to him.

Guan Zhibao replied: "The young master asked me to help investigate someone."

This aroused Fang Datu's curiosity.

"Who is it? Is it a popular star? Or one of those small internet celebrities who are doing live broadcasts?"

Fang Datu seemed to be wondering why the pigs he raised had not yet eaten the cabbages of other people.

Guan Zhibao felt that today had somewhat shaken the image of the chairman in his mind.

Why is it that your son plays with big stars and small internet celebrities? Is it something to be proud of?

“Ahem…”

Guan Zhibao coughed lightly and told Fang Datu what Fang Yuan wanted him to do.

"It's like this. The person the young master asked me to investigate was his high school classmate. A male classmate named Han Bai. It seems that his daughter is sick and needs surgery urgently."

After listening to this, Fang Datu was surprised and said, "Oh? That kid has 1 billion now, why doesn't he just give it to that classmate?"

Guan Zhibao widened his eyes and reminded in a low voice: "Chairman, have you forgotten the rules you set for the young master? The 1 billion cannot be given away or used for charity."

After hearing Guan Zhibao's words, Fang Datu was stunned for a moment. He really hadn't remembered it.

Not only did he not remember it, even Fang Yuan himself did not remember it.

"hey-hey……"

In order to hide his embarrassment, Fang Datu quickly analyzed to Guan Zhibao the reasons why his son did this.

"No, no, no, Zhibao, you really don't know Yuan at all."

Guan Zhibao asked himself this question no less than five times when he heard it today.

"Oh? Chairman, do you have any insights here?"

Guan Zhibao is now influenced by Fang Datu and begins to feel that everything Fang Yuan does is full of schemes.

Maybe, it is also a brilliant move in Fang Yuan's chess game.

Fang Datu leaned back on the sofa and began to teach Guan Zhibao.

Yes, it’s class.

The content of the lesson is reading comprehension.

Read Fang Yuan's actions to understand the logic behind them.

"You are obviously his high school classmate, so why did he ask you to help investigate? It's because he doesn't trust this high school classmate and thinks there is something fishy behind his daughter's illness."

Guan Zhibao was stunned when he heard this.

"Is there something fishy here? What's fishy?"

Fang Datu shrugged: "How should I know? Otherwise, why would I ask you to investigate?"

Guan Zhibao nodded.

It means nonsense.

Fang Datu continued his imagination: "Or, Yuan wants to use this to train his mind."

"Practice the mind?" Guan Zhibao felt that this was a bit weird.

Isn't this the same thing as cultivating immortals in online novels?

"That's right." Fang Datu continued.

"Today is the first day that Yuan resumes his life as an adult, and he runs into a former classmate who asks him to lend money to save his daughter. Isn't this too much of a coincidence?"

Guan Zhibao said, could it be a coincidence that his daughter got sick?

Fang Datu said confidently: "I'm afraid that A Yuan himself revealed his identity. After all, when he was in school, his classmates all thought that his family was not well off. Whenever there was a party that cost a little more, he would not be invited. With this impression, how could they possibly ask A Yuan for money?"

Guan Zhibao thought about it and felt that the chairman was right.

Even if my daughter is sick, I shouldn't ask a classmate who I know is poor to borrow money from her, because how can he lend me money if he doesn't have money?

"So, I think it was Yuan who set up a test of his conscience. He wanted to use this method to determine whether his heart had changed."

Guan Zhibao looked at Fang Datu with some confusion.

Fang Datu knew that he still didn't understand, so he explained it in more detail.

"Just like what you said before, Zhibao, people become bad when they have money. Yuan wants to try and see if his character will be different when he becomes rich. When he meets a poor person, will he help him wholeheartedly without asking for anything in return like before? Or will he gradually become like the rich and exploit the poor as a way to gain benefits."

Guan Zhibao asked: "But, Chairman, didn't you say before that the young master would not change?"

Fang Datu snapped his fingers and said, "Yes, that's the key. I thought he wouldn't change, but he was afraid that he might change. That's why he had to question his conscience."

"If his high school classmate's daughter didn't get sick, or if there were any other circumstances, Yuan's direct loan doesn't mean he wants to help the poor, but he may not take the 200,000 yuan seriously. Even if he was cheated, he wouldn't care at all. But he insisted on investigating it, which proves that he still cares about the 200,000 yuan and wants to give it to people in need."

After listening to Fang Datu's explanation, Guan Zhibao felt that he half understood it.

In his heart, Fang Yuan's image became more complete.

He is not an indifferent person, nor is he a stupid person.

You have the ability to easily change the fate of others, but you still have to carefully determine whether the other person is suitable or not.
