Chapter 7: Past events buried in school

The more Meng Ping thought about it, the more regretful he felt. If he had known this would happen, he should have forced the class teacher to take them directly to the abandoned warehouse and not waste time with Tao Shun.

Now that things have come to this, there is no point in thinking too much.

Meng Ping took a few quick steps and carefully checked Sun Kai's breathing.

Very faint, but fortunately still alive.

Meng Ping breathed a sigh of relief, looking at his son with a flushed face, and suddenly remembered Shen Yijin's words: "He has heatstroke, take him to a cool and ventilated place!"

The two of them quickly took Sun Kai to rest under the shade of a tree and tried to find a way to cool the child down.

It was open outside, Sun Kai was able to catch his breath, and his consciousness gradually regained.

He half opened his eyes and vaguely saw Sun Yu's face, which startled him sobering up a bit.

"Mom, why are you here?" Sun Kai exclaimed.

Sun Yu glared at him angrily: "If I hadn't come, you would have lost your life here! Your voice is hoarse, you should say less."

As he spoke, Sun Yu handed a bottle cap of water to Sun Kai's mouth, motioning him to drink it in small sips.

Sun Kai was very thirsty and had a headache at the moment. He was afraid that if he said something wrong, Sun Yu would get even angrier, so he didn't dare to say anything.

He drank the water in small sips and secretly glanced at Sun Yu.

When Sun Kai discovered that the person next to Sun Yu was Meng Ping, he almost choked on the water.

Oh my god, why is his dad here too!

Meng Ping saw Sun Kai staring at him and knew that he had recovered.

He didn't give his son a chance to come up with an excuse and asked directly, "What happened today? Why did you climb over the wall? And how did you end up locked up in the abandoned warehouse? Tell me the truth, don't try to lie to me."

Sun Kai felt wronged. Even if he wanted to lie, he couldn't fool his father!

His father is a policeman, he is not that easy to fool.

But it wasn't like he wanted to skip class. He almost died in the warehouse, and he was still so strict...

The more Sun Kai thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt, and finally he leaned into Sun Yu's arms and cried.

"I didn't want to climb over the wall, but I had to go. At first they just asked me to go over the wall to buy them snacks and drinks, but a few days later they asked me to help them with their homework, took away my lunch, and scolded me."

"I didn't listen to them, so they ganged up on me and bullied me. This time it was even worse. I even bought things for them, but they wouldn't let me go back to class and locked me up in an abandoned warehouse..."

After listening to Sun Kai's narration, Meng Ping's face turned pale.

Sun Yu also looked very unhappy.

What else do they not understand? Their son was bullied at school.

"No! I have to go find the teacher and ask for an explanation!" The child was so aggrieved that the mother couldn't bear to see him so much and was determined to ask for an explanation for her son.

This is also what Meng Ping meant. There are conflicts between students, and the school does not know how to stop it, so it must be rectified.

The two men were furious and were about to confront the principal.

Shen Yijin, who was far away at the police station, saw that the situation was not good and quickly spoke out to stop it.

"Captain Meng, don't go yet. The principal is in trouble. You can't go alone. You have to think about your wife and children."

Meng Ping is an upright person and is recognized as a good captain in the police station, but Shen Yijin thinks he is a bit reckless and an out-and-out impatient person.

Shen Yijin was afraid that he would act impulsively and confront the principal face to face, so she deliberately did not tell him what the principal's problem was and advised him to evacuate with his wife and children first.

Xu Tingyin listened from the side and gave Chen Yijin a thumbs up.

Not to mention that Captain Meng himself felt guilty towards Sun Yu and her son, even if these two were just ordinary people, Captain Meng could not let them take risks.

This is the duty and mission of the police!

As expected, after hearing what happened next, Meng Ping didn't dare to be careless at all.

He held Sun Yu back and stopped her from going to see the principal. After much persuasion, he finally persuaded her to stay. He took the child out of school and went to the hospital for a thorough check-up.

The test results came out quickly and the situation was much better than they expected.

Sun Kai is fine, he'll be fine after a while.

The heavy stone in his heart finally fell, and now Meng Ping also had the mind to ask Chen Yijin.

"Principal, if you have any questions, tell me now!"

If the principal did anything illegal, he would lead a team to bring the person to justice and not let him delay the students in the school.

Chen Yijin heard his calm tone and knew that he was very calm now, so she said, "Ten years ago, the principal forced a female student in that warehouse. She refused, and he accidentally killed her. There was evidence in the warehouse that he had not cleaned up. He was afraid of being discovered, so he abandoned the warehouse."

"The girl's body was buried under the big poplar tree behind the warehouse. Her family came to cause trouble, but the principal paid them off. Of course, that wasn't the public narrative; everyone thought she had transferred back to her hometown."

Meng Ping took a breath. If what Shen Yijin said was true, then this was a big case.

His heartbeat quickened: "Did you calculate this too?"

Chen Yijin: "Part of it is, and part of it is what I just saw. The principal didn't finish it properly."

The police station's computer was playing the footage from Meng Ping's side in real time, and Xu Tingyin even recorded the entire process.

Especially the scene where Meng Ping entered the abandoned warehouse, Xu Tingyin and other police officers watched it over and over again, picking out details frame by frame and finding a lot of evidence.

Meng Ping suddenly realized: "No wonder the head teacher didn't want to take us to the warehouse. She is an insider and knows that there is evidence of the principal's crimes in the warehouse!"

Chen Yijin explained on behalf of the homeroom teacher, "That's not the case. She only joined the school a few years ago and doesn't know what happened back then. The principal told her not to let you go to the abandoned warehouse."

Meng Ping understood: "The principal is feeling guilty."

Meng Ping didn't know how much evidence Xu Tingyin and others had seen in the video. Now that his son was fine, he wanted to hurry back to the police station and lead a team to the school to search for evidence.
