Chapter 6 The Missing Bad Student
The incident happened suddenly, and Meng Ping had no time to ask for leave and hurried to his son's school.
As a suspect, Shen Yijin cannot leave the police station for the time being, but Meng Ping intuitively feels that Shen Yijin's help may be needed later, so he asks Xu Tingyin to arrange a remote live broadcast for him.
Meng Ping arrived at the school quickly, and his ex-wife Sun Yu had been waiting anxiously for a long time.
Seeing Meng Ping, Sun Yu ran over quickly: "You're finally here! The teacher just took me to check the surveillance, and I didn't see Kaikai going to the playground. Kaikai's deskmate also denied that he had the key to the warehouse. What should I do next?"

Sun Kai has never been to the playground. The warehouse over there is locked all year round. He definitely can't go in. Sun Kai often skips classes. He must have been playing outside and hasn't come back yet."
The head teacher played a surveillance video. In the video, Sun Kai looked in the direction of the teaching building several times, and climbed over the wall to leave the school before the bell rang.

Meng Ping frowned. Sun Kai climbed over the wall very skillfully. It was obviously not his first time to climb over the wall.
But he had never heard Sun Yu mention that his son always climbed over the wall to skip classes.
If Sun Kai had already left school, how did he get into the warehouse?
Meng Ping was still in deep thought, but Sun Yu, who knew his son's character better, didn't believe the nonsense the head teacher said at all.
She said sternly, "Impossible, Kaikai studies very hard at home, how could he skip classes! If he skips classes often, why didn't you tell me before?"
The head teacher's eyes flickered: "Sun Kai always begs me not to contact his parents..."
Meng Ping had interrogated many prisoners and was able to keenly detect that something was wrong with the class teacher.
Meng Ping: "Where is Kaikai's deskmate? I want to ask him a few questions in person."
The head teacher said without hesitation: "It's class time now, so of course Tao Shun is in class. Unlike Sun Kai, he doesn't study hard during class and tries to climb over the wall to fool around. The most important thing for students is to study. There are only ten minutes left before get out of class ends. Sun Kai's father, please don't disturb this good boy in class, okay?"
The head teacher belittled Sun Kai in his words, and his tone was sarcastic, which made Meng Ping feel uncomfortable.
But she was right about one thing. Studying was important. It should be still in time to ask Sun Kai, her desk mate, after class.
Meng Ping was hesitant and was about to agree when he suddenly heard Shen Yijin's voice in his headphones.
"The head teacher is stalling for time. Don't agree to her. Go find Tao Shun now. If you really wait ten minutes, the key will no longer be in his hands."
Meng Ping was startled and quickly changed his words: "No, either you take us to find Tao Shun now, or take us directly to the third warehouse on the east side of the playground, and we will go in and find him ourselves. It doesn't matter if you don't have the key, I will double the money for kicking the door!"
The head teacher thought that the police were really hard to fool, so he had to reluctantly take Meng Ping and the other person to the classroom to find Tao Shun.
Although the head teacher deliberately delayed, the classroom was not far away and it took less than five minutes until Tao Shun was called out.
Meng Ping looked at Tao Shun carefully. This child looked a bit ruffian and didn't look like the good and studious kid that the head teacher described.
It is wrong to judge a person by his appearance. Meng Ping suppressed his hesitation and patiently asked Tao Shun: "You have the key to the abandoned warehouse, right?"
Tao Shun squinted at Meng Ping and said lazily, "Who said that? That broken warehouse has been abandoned for many years, how could the key be in my hand? Uncle, you are a policeman, how can you slander me for no reason?"
Meng Ping was not fooled by Tao Shun: "Don't you feel uncomfortable hiding the key in your shoes? Human life is at stake, hand over the key quickly."
Tao Shun's breath was choked. How did Meng Ping know?
Meng Ping didn't know it originally. He just repeated Shen Yijin's words to deceive Tao Shun.
Unexpectedly, Tao Shun actually hid the key in his shoes.
Meng Ping then reached out to Tao Shun and said, "It's under the insole of your left foot. Take it out yourself."
Tao Shun was completely panicked now. He didn't have time to think too much and just ran away.
There was no way Meng Ping could let him get away; he controlled him in just two or three steps.
When Tao Shun took off his shoes, he found that the key was hidden under the insole.
Meng Ping got the key, but didn't let Tao Shun go: "Why are you running?"
Tao Shun turned his head and said nothing.
"Meng Ping, it's important to find Kai Kai." When Sun Yu found out that Meng Ping was about to make a series of verbal criticisms of Tao Shun, he quickly pulled at the corner of his clothes.
The timing was not right, so Meng Ping had to give up.
He wanted to ask his class teacher to lead the way to the warehouse, but found that the class teacher was nowhere to be found.
Meng Ping thought something was wrong and his hand holding the key clenched unconsciously.
"Where is your class teacher?" he asked the students who were blocking the door to watch the fun.
The students looked at each other, unable to give an accurate answer: "Ah, the head teacher left a long time ago, we don't know where he went!"

The conflict between classmates was just the fuse; there is a bigger secret behind Kaikai’s disappearance.
Just as Meng Ping was regretting and feeling annoyed, Shen Yijin's calm voice comforted him well: "Don't panic, I know where the warehouse is, I'll lead you there."
Meng Ping's voice was hoarse, as if he had aged ten years: "Is Kaikai still in the warehouse?"
I don’t know how long the head teacher has been gone, maybe he has been moved away by them…
Shen Yijin: “Believe me, Sun Kai is still waiting for you in the warehouse.”
This simple sentence sounds a little pale.
Meng Ping seemed to have found his backbone and calmed down. Following Shen Yijin's guidance, he successfully found the warehouse that had been abandoned for more than ten years.
The big lock on the warehouse door was rusty, and Meng Ping took a lot of effort to open the door.
As soon as he opened it a little, a sour and musty smell accompanied by heat waves rushed out from the warehouse, and Meng Ping squinted his eyes unconsciously.
Sun Yu didn't care. She saw the person lying on the floor of the warehouse through the crack in the door, rushed in immediately, and picked him up: "Kai Kai!"
When Meng Ping saw Sun Kai lying unconscious in Sun Yu's arms, his heart skipped a beat.
Kaikai has been here for such a long time in such a harsh environment. Could it be that he has already...
