Chapter 28 The Desolate Cinema

"Ah! Watching a movie?"

Wang Qingge was genuinely surprised when Vivian Hsu suddenly said she wanted to invite him to the movies.

"Mmm!" Vivian Hsu nodded and asked, "So, are you going or not?"

"A new movie is showing tonight, and I'd like to go see it. Will you come with me?"

Upon hearing this, Wang Qingge exclaimed that it was such a coincidence, as he had just sung an interlude for the movie "A Thousand Years of Love".

Now that someone is inviting him to see this movie, it's quite a coincidence.

"So, aren't you going?" Vivian Hsu asked again when he didn't answer.

Seeing her repeated invitations, Wang Qingge herself also wanted to go and see what this movie called "A Thousand Years of Love" was like.

More importantly, he wanted to know what the movie would be like with the song "Beautiful Myth" added to it.

So after careful consideration, he finally agreed.

"Alright! Since you want to go, I'll go with you."

"Mmm!" After receiving Wang Qingge's reply, Vivian Hsu began to eat her meal without restraint again, taking big bites.

...

Evening arrived quickly. Wang Qingge prepared dinner early, and the two of them ate before setting off.

Because she was going to see a movie, Vivian Hsu dressed up specially. She wore a white A-line skirt and a black and white striped t-shirt.

Her hair was tossed behind her, adorned with a flower, and her outfit made her look like a pure and innocent goddess.

Even Wang Qingge herself couldn't help but praise it in her heart, saying it was simply too beautiful.

Going to the movies with such a beautiful woman is something many people dream of.

Sure enough! When the two of them walked down the street, people would often turn their heads to look at Vivian Hsu because of her beauty.

Of course, many people still envy Wang Qingge for being able to walk with such a beautiful woman.

But none of that mattered, because they were there to see a movie, so they arrived at the cinema shortly afterward.

The movie started at 8 p.m., so Wang Qingge and Vivian Hsu arrived at the cinema at 7:40 p.m.

When they entered the movie theater, it was still a few minutes before eight o'clock, but what they found inside was quite unexpected.

Because there were very few people in the entire movie theater; the theater, which originally had a capacity of a thousand, had fewer than a hundred people.

Seeing this, Vivian Hsu said somewhat awkwardly, "There aren't many people tonight, but that's good, it'll be quieter."

“Yes!” Wang Qingge nodded to himself. He knew why there were so few people in the movie theater: it was because no one was interested in the movie.

I felt this was a movie made entirely out of fantasy, unrealistic in reality, so not many people came to see it.

Of course, the most important point is that the director is not famous, and the actors are all obscure celebrities, the kind that nobody recognizes.

This has led to even fewer people being willing to waste their money.

Therefore, Wang Qingge discovered that the people who came to see this movie tonight were either bored and just wanted to kill time.

They're either couples who come for romance, or there are older men and women who come to broaden their horizons.

Because there were few people to begin with, Wang Qingge and Vivian Hsu were able to sit in seats closer to the front.

After the two sat down, Vivian Hsu took out the snacks she had bought outside and started eating.

...

Soon it was eight o'clock, and the movie officially started. First came the various cast lists, but nobody paid any attention to them or wanted to watch them.

A minute or two later, thankfully the movie finally started.

As soon as the movie begins, a handsome young man with delicate features appears on the screen; he is the protagonist of the film, named Yi Chuan.

Yi Chuan studied history and archaeology, so after graduation, he went to work at a museum.

One day, a new batch of antiques suddenly arrived at the museum. All sorts of ancient items amazed Yi Chuan.

Swords and knives were all available, but these things didn't particularly attract Yi Chuan.

Until he saw something, a very ordinary hairpin, but for some reason, seeing this hairpin suddenly made him feel a pang of heartache.

Yi Chuan involuntarily stopped in front of the hairpin, as if some force was holding him tightly, preventing him from leaving.

He couldn't help but touch the hairpin with his hand.

The moment his hand touched the hairpin, an incredibly familiar feeling welled up inside him.

What kind of feeling is this? It's the feeling of something you love dearly, which has been gone for a long time, finally returning to your hands.

That's right, that's exactly how Yi Chuan felt at that moment, and the feeling was so strong that he couldn't help but want to pick up the hairpin.

At this moment, Yi Chuan had a strange feeling, as if the hairpin in front of him was his own, as if he had made it himself.

No, at this moment, Yi Chuan's feeling was no longer an illusion, but rather that the hairpin truly belonged to him.

This feeling and these thoughts startled him.

It wasn't until a colleague next to him called out to him that he came back to his senses.

Coming to his senses, he quickly left the hairpin and continued looking at other antiques.

Even though he had left, his heart was still on that hairpin, and he tried to stop himself from thinking about it.

But he found that he could no longer control his heart; it was always on that hairpin.

Even after he got off work, the hairpin was still on his mind, and he couldn't shake it off.

Even in his dreams at night, Yi Chuan had a very strange dream. In the dream, he made a hairpin for a woman and put it on her head.

The hairpin in my dream was the same one from the museum.

He woke up with a start from this point in his dream, and even after waking up, he still found it hard to believe what had happened.

He didn't understand what was going on. Why couldn't he forget that hairpin once he saw it?

Moreover, he now has an urge to explore the origin of this hairpin.

So he called his colleagues to ask if they knew the origin of the hairpin.

His colleague told him that the hairpin was unearthed from a newly discovered ancient tomb, but that was all he knew.

After several days of back and forth, Yi Chuan decided to explore on his own and applied to work at the newly discovered ancient tomb.

The movie had been going on for half an hour, and during that time, everyone watching had been shaking their heads and saying, "What kind of garbage is this?"
