After being forcibly robbed by German officers (Extra 3)
Extra Children's Stories
Emma was sitting in the hotel, anxiously waiting for her lover to come for an appointment.
Minutes and seconds passed, and finally someone knocked on the door.
“You’re here!”
She opened the door excitedly, and the young man who came in had a pale but handsome face. He was leaning on a black cane, and his blue eyes were like transparent glass beads.
Emma skillfully took the man's cane aside, turned over, and moved their bodies a little. She hooked the door with her foot and closed it.
Emma leaned her back against the door, stood on tiptoe, hugged the man's neck, and raised her lips to his with a smile. The man soon took the initiative and kissed her aggressively.
Emma pushed him away only when she was out of breath and her mouth was numb from the man's kisses.
"Leo, Leopold."
"Um."
"Guess what I'm wearing today?"
Emma grabbed Leo's hand and let him stroke her waist and up.
Leo felt the delicate pattern, but before he could speak, Emma complained slightly:
"It's an embroidered dress, idiot. It's Chinese embroidery. My father gave it to me. Aren't you so majestic and powerful in court, debating with everyone? Why do you act like a fool when you're in front of me?"
"Emma, I came here to tell you..."
Leo hesitated.
But Emma didn't give him a chance to hesitate. She turned around angrily and began to take off her clothes. Of course, she also led Leo to the bed.
"Don't tell me you're going back to the United States, and don't tell me you're breaking up."
"Also, you don't have to worry about me and Arthur. I've already told Arthur that I will cancel my engagement with him and marry you openly."
"And you promised me that no matter what happens, you will never reject me and never leave me."
Leo stood quietly by the bed from beginning to end, with a refreshing fragrance in his nose. He could feel the woman taking off her clothes impatiently. He knew that he was always helpless with this woman who was so naive that often made him speechless.
It wasn't until Emma finished taking off her clothes and started to take off his clothes that he started to panic.
Emma looked up in confusion: "What's wrong with you today? This isn't our first time, why are you so shy all of a sudden?"
Leo took a deep breath and imagined the woman's appearance. She should be frowning angrily now, like a little lion ready to pounce, and urgently needed him to smooth her fur.
So Leo took off his clothes on his own initiative, and Emma's eyes were involuntarily attracted by his gradually revealed muscular body.
To be honest, even if we put aside Leo's distinct personality, which was sometimes mature and sometimes conservative, his strong physique exuded an irresistible charm to Emma.
His broad shoulders seemed to be able to carry everything, his back lines were smooth and powerful, his waist was tight and narrow, and his muscles were tightly covered on his skeleton.
Every time Emma couldn't help but sigh that this body was as perfect as Arthur's.
"Can't you really see?"
Emma, covered in sweat, lay on top of Leo and waved her hands in front of him as if she was bored.
The latter didn't feel offended at all, and just smiled indulgently: "I can't see it."
Sight was an unknown concept for Leo, as his world had been built from the outset on sound, touch, smell, and temperature.
He outlined the size of the room by the echo of his footsteps, sensed the position of doors and windows by the feel of the wind blowing across his skin, and imagined what a woman looked like by her unique voice.
"Leo, I don't know what's going on. The first time I saw you, I felt like I was possessed. I was unconsciously attracted to you, unconsciously observing your every move, and unconsciously wanting to possess you... It's as if we were born to be together."
The two of them were lying on the bed, chatting idly. Under the quilt, Emma's hand moved restlessly down, and Leo grabbed her wrist.
"Me too," he said, closing his eyes as if recalling their first meeting.
Emma burst out laughing. "What are you? Please, have some self-awareness, okay? You can't see."
Leo was not angry, nor did he defend himself too much. He touched Emma's blonde hair and just said, "My princess, I can feel it."
The two of them had been making a fuss in the hotel for almost a whole day, even having to have food delivered to their door.
Just as Emma was about to get up, there was a knock on the door, and the sound outside made Emma break out in a cold sweat.
"Oh no! My father is actually in London. Why did he come to England instead of staying at home? My father must have asked someone to get him a visa."
Compared to Emma's panic, Leo was unusually calm. He groped around and put on his clothes slowly.
When Emma opened the door, she found a group of people standing outside. Except for the guards and the hotel waiters who were confused, they were all her most familiar relatives.
The one in a suit and tie is the British dad, the one with an angry face is the German father, the one with a gentle and worried look is Uncle William, the one who rarely looks like he's watching a show is Uncle Shi, and there's also Uncle Maxwell, whose identity is a mystery, and even brother Nicholas and sister Irene are here.
In the middle, with the most serious expression on his face, is her fiancé, Arthur Campbell, Duke of Argyll, who is expected to become the youngest professor of physics at Oxford University.
"Sorry, please leave it to me."
Arthur pushed Emma in, apologized to all the elders, and then locked the door.
Emma, in a panic, only realized at this moment that the ground was covered with used translucent objects. The box packaging was roughly torn open and spread on the high-end carpet imported from Turkey. She kicked them all aside and finally cleared a path for people to walk on.
Arthur looked straight ahead and extended his hand to the neatly dressed Leo.
"Arthur Campbell. Nice to meet you. Thank you for taking care of my wife while I was away from London. I hope you will give me your guidance in the future."
"Hello, Leopold Aston. You are not married, you have not taken any vows, and Emma is not your wife."
Leo smiled, his hand resting on his cane. He clearly felt Arthur's hostility, so he made no attempt to reach out in return.
"Arthur! It's okay if you investigate me, but my father and I are here too. Don't go too far..."
Arthur glanced at her indifferently, and Emma immediately became like a wilted poppy, her momentum instantly weakened, and she grumbled unwillingly.
"Don't worry. During the days you were away, I didn't drink, smoke, or fight. I just painted two or three pictures. Oh, I'm so annoyed. Stay out of my business! I'm breaking off the engagement with you!"
"The wedding will go ahead as planned next spring."
"I don't agree!"
Arthur ignored Emma's protests and turned to look at Leo. Leo kept smiling, and Emma chose to step back and stand next to Leo, holding Leo's hand tightly.
Emma knew how hopeless it was to cure a congenital defect. Even though Leo appeared strong and cold on the outside, he was inevitably uneasy inside. She had to be with Leo.
Seeing this, a trace of disappointment flashed across Arthur's eyes, and he continued:
"Emma, after we get married, you can continue to paint, and I will also hold an exhibition for you. I won't stop you from dating anyone you want, and I will give you enough time to meet and spend time with him..."
"Arthur Campbell! Who do you think you are? The Holy Father? I will never marry you! I..."
Emma, feeling rebellious, suddenly felt her stomach churning, and then something rushed straight to her chest and then up her throat. She immediately ran to the bathroom and vomited loudly. The two men followed her nervously.
After vomiting, Emma covered her lower abdomen with her hands in panic. Oh no, she might be pregnant.
When the children grow up (2)
"Why won't you let me go out? I want to see Leo. Arthur, the child is not yours!"
As soon as she returned to Gwendon Manor, Emma's princess temper broke out and she threw her temporarily taken-off red high heels to the ground.
Arthur was very calm. He bent down to pick up the shoes and put them away while saying, "The medical report said the baby was almost three months old. Are you saying that when you were with me three months ago, you found someone else?"
Emma's face flushed red, she was just angry: "You...you're talking nonsense! You're slandering me! You're wrongly accusing a good person! I'm going to tell my dad!"
"Since there is no such possibility, the child can only be mine."
Arthur raised his eyebrows, then thought of something and his eyes became a little colder.
"The doctor said you've been exercising too vigorously and need to rest for the next few days. Once I finish my work at the lab, I'll be home with you. Also, don't paint for now."
“Why won’t you let me draw?”
Emma protested: "You only care about the child and not your sister. You...you are partial...I want to paint! Painting is my life! You have no right to interfere in my life..."
"My little princess, what else do you want to say?"
Arthur sighed helplessly and pretended to pinch Emma's nose as she sat on the sofa. Emma expressed strong dissatisfaction and kept leaning to the side.
"Uncle Hurley has sent someone to buy you acrylic paint."
Emma refused to give in and continued to argue, but her voice unknowingly began to tear up. "I don't want to use acrylics. Oil paint and acrylic paint are completely different. I... I like a thicker feel."
Arthur thought Emma was not talking to him about the difference between colors, but about the difference between him and Leopold, the blind lawyer.
He was silent for a moment.
"Oil paint may contain heavy metals, which can be inhaled through the respiratory tract and affect fetal development or even cause fetal malformations."
"But...if you insist on doing what you want, then go ahead and abort the child. I don't mind."
In the last sentence, Arthur's standard London accent was like velvet wiping across porcelain, which directly wiped away Emma's tears and made her angry.
"Arthur Campbell! You've gone too far!"
Then there was a bang, and Emma closed the bedroom door.
The anger did not last long, and Emma quickly changed her clothes. A case that the whole of Britain was paying attention to would be sentenced today, and the defense lawyer in this case was Leo.
The bodyguards of Gwendon Manor did not stop Emma from going out. In fact, no one dared to stop the little princess of the Campbell family who was causing trouble.
When Emma parked the car and arrived at the courtroom, it was already packed with judicial staff, students from the London School of Economics, journalists who did not miss any hot spots, and a group of people in the gallery.
Silence was not restored until the judges arrived in the hall one after another and the presiding judge solemnly struck the gavel.
The process of reading the verdict was the most boring, far less intense than the offensive and defensive confrontation between the prosecution and the defense. Emma kept her eyes on Leo sitting in the defense seat throughout the whole process.
How could anyone sit so solemnly, she wondered? Wouldn't his back aches? Was her Leo tired? When would the judge finish reading the lengthy verdict? She wanted to see Leo soon.
Finally, the verdict was announced, and blind lawyer Leopold Aston won another case! A true civilian hero!
Eyes from all sides turned, there were exclamations from the audience, and the media's flash cameras were a mess.
Emma followed Leo's footsteps not far away and left the court hall. Just as she was about to go up to give Leo a surprise, she found that her father and Leo were walking side by side, and then the bodyguards in plain clothes hiding in the dark stopped her.
"Miss, I'm sorry."
The mahogany double doors were pushed open, revealing a private reception room that was elegant and unique, with an 18th-century seascape painting hanging in the middle.
Leo couldn't see and didn't know the situation of the person in front of him, so he stretched out his right hand.
Feintz didn't explain, he gently raised his right arm with his left hand.
While shaking hands, Feintz looked at Leo carefully. He was handsome, tall, young and promising, an outstanding opinion leader. If he had not been blind, it was not difficult to imagine that he would have achieved greater success.
At the same time, Leo was also feeling Feintz's hand.
It felt cold and lifeless, like a piece of gummy candy wrapped around a hard stone. It turned out to be a prosthetic limb...
He has no right arm.
"Mr. Aston, I am Ai Eran's father."
"Hello, is there something wrong with Emma?"
"No."
The two sat down and talked face to face.
"Then why did you come to me?"
"You can't stay with her, you have to leave her."
Feinz's gums were like two heavy iron plates, pressing his mouth shut into a thin line.
"Because you think I'm disabled? Mr. Kalman, blindness is just a lack of vision. It's not as terrible as you think."
Despite fantasizing about it many times, Leo still couldn't face the reality that his lover's father could not accept his disability, and his hands clenched into fists under the table.
"Some people always exaggerate disability to an absurd degree, believing that people with disabilities are mentally retarded and unable to contribute to society. I disagree with this view. I think it is a wrong view instilled in people by able-centrism."
Feynz's face was painful. "No, if you... if you are with Emma, your mother will be very sad when she finds out."
"Mr. Kalman, when I was little, I couldn't read, so my mother read to me word for word. Later, to protect my fragile self-esteem, she translated several piles of books into Braille. In my heart, she is the strongest woman in the world, and nothing can break her."
Leo thought of a time ago when a British media outlet actually dug up his background, saying that he was an abandoned baby. He smiled and said:
"Of course, if you're referring to my so-called biological mother, then she has no right to interfere in my life. How can we expect a woman who can abandon her own child to refrain from doing things that destroy her conscience?"
Feints felt as if Leo's words were an invisible chain tightening around his throat.
The pain spread from his neck to his limbs, forcing him to take deep breaths.
"Leo, she loves you very much... She is the person who loves you most in the world."
"Mr. Kalman, if your purpose in coming here is to interfere with Emma and me, and to use a woman I've never met to belittle my mother, then I think our conversation ends here."
Leo's smile disappeared, and his left hand had already touched the blind stick placed beside him, ready to leave at any time.
Feyntz, heartbroken, said wearily, "Have you heard of Operation T4? Let me tell you a story."
The sky gradually darkened, the bells from the church spire broke the silence of the neighborhood, and the dim light spread across the foggy glass windows, like the lifebuoy that a drowning person finally grabbed.
Emma was bored and lying on the table, writing a person's name back and forth: Leopold Aston.
Leopold, Leo, L, e, o, Le…
"Emma, you have a brother named Lai. You must remember him and never forget him."
An inexplicable voice appeared in her mind, and Emma suddenly felt very irritated. She crossed out the name on the paper with the tip of her pen.
