Fork in the Road
Perhaps his scandalous relationship with Wei Mingjue would spread throughout the company today. Numbly following Wei Mingjue to the garage and getting into the passenger seat, Zou Yuqing resignedly looked out the window. Since he'd gotten into Shuangming Pharmaceutical through this man, this situation was to be expected.
Sighing in his heart, Zou Yuqing thought again of what Mu Yun had whispered to him.
What did it mean to go astray? He couldn't understand. This company, ranked among the best in the country, was a place everyone wanted to join. Why would anyone go astray? And what was this fork in the road?
"Who are you thinking about? Do you like the Omega like that just now?"
He was still pondering the meaning of "fork in the road" when Wei Mingjue, who was driving, suddenly looked at him. The man still had a half-smile on his face, like a smiling tiger.
"Mu Yun is an Omega?" Zou Yuqing asked, ignoring Wei Mingjue's question. "I thought the company would separate Alphas and Omegas."
Many companies typically divide departments by gender, or even create multiple offices within a department to separate Alphas and Omegas. Betas can be in any department. However, Zou Yuqing was surprised to learn that Shuangming Pharmaceutical grouped all genders together.
"Our company doesn't have that kind of thing. You can ask for leave before an Alpha's susceptible period or an Omega's estrus period arrives, and you don't need to come to the company during that time." Wei Mingjue said while driving, turning his head to the side. "So don't worry, the problem you think you have won't happen."
It's quite humane. Zou Yuqing was indeed thinking about the susceptible period and the estrus period. After hearing what Wei Mingjue said, he pursed his lips and continued to look out the window.
"When is your susceptible period?" After a few seconds, Wei Mingjue asked again, "Have you ever looked for an Omega before?"
"I'm not you." Zou Yuqing frowned, not wanting to tell Wei Mingjue when he would be susceptible. The last time was in mid-March, so the next one should be around September. It was still early.

He checked the time and saw that almost half an hour had passed. The lunch break was only an hour and a half in total, so he didn't know how much longer Wei Mingjue would have to drive.
A short while after asking, the car pulled into a hotel parking lot. Seeing the words "Royal Summer Hotel," Zou Yuqing straightened up and asked, "Why are you here?" What did Wei Mingjue mean by bringing him to the hotel?
Glaring angrily at Wei Mingjue, Zou Yuqing quickly unbuckled his seatbelt and prepared to get out of the car and run. He had merely accepted an internship at Shuangming and nothing else. What did Wei Mingjue take him for? Was it fun to see him in this state?
"What are you thinking about? Mingyu and Zou Yuyang's engagement party is going to be held here. Let's take a look and try the dishes today." Seeing Zou Yuqing's wary look, Wei Mingjue couldn't help but laugh out loud, "You don't think I'm going to do anything to you, do you? If you want, you can."
He was very addicted to Zou Yuqing's body and pheromones, but he couldn't disturb the prey in front of him who was angry with him.

Seeing this, Wei Mingjue didn't say anything. He casually ordered a few dishes and placed the order. Then he looked at Zou Yuqing and asked, "So what were you talking about before you came out?"
Zou Yuqing didn't know why Wei Mingjue was so obsessed with this question. He sighed and said, "When I was sorting through the resignation list this morning, I found that there were two departments with a high turnover rate, so I asked about it."
"You should be the first intern to ask such a question." Wei Mingjue smiled. "So? What did they say?"

"Yes, we're a great springboard here." Wei Mingjue narrowed his eyes. "But Zou Yuqing, don't be curious about those two departments anymore. Isn't the Administration Department good enough? Those two departments are very tiring."
"Oh." Zou Yuqing wanted to ask more, but looking at Wei Mingjue's eyes, there was a hint of coldness in them, so he responded perfunctorily.
There must be something wrong. He didn't even say which two departments they were, but Wei Mingjue knew it immediately, which meant there was something wrong. Zou Yuqing no longer looked curious, but he kept this matter in mind.
