Coming out of the mountains
"My heart remains fair. If Your Majesty refuses to believe me, you can just cut out my heart." The blond boy's eyes were clear and soft, making it impossible to doubt his sincerity.
The ghost clan's king frowned slightly, without opening his mouth to refute, and changed from pinching to touching. With a little force, he pulled Indra into his arms and bumped into that strong chest.
"Although you have the ability to heal yourself, you cannot survive in the abyss with just this ability. I will take you to the human world." Ashura said in an unquestionable tone.
His expression was indifferent, yet seemed to be explaining and negotiating.
"I'm afraid there's more to it than that, Your Majesty." Emperor Shitian raised half of his face and chuckled. "Your thoughts are written all over your face, and it's not difficult to guess."
Seeing that he couldn't hide it anymore, Ashura was a little embarrassed. "When I injured your hand earlier, I thought you were a spy sent by the Celestial Clan. Later, I didn't detect the aura of the Ten Dharma Aspects on you. I admit that I was wrong about you. You are innocent. However, the aura of the abyss is not suitable for Celestial Clan to survive."
"You are right, Asura, I am not a member of the celestial clan now. I did not belong to any force before, and now I am still a free person." Indra said.
He did not sweep across the Celestial Clan to become king like he did last time. At this moment, he was just an insignificant member of the world.
Indra's words reassured Asura, and his last remaining doubts vanished. Amidst the relief, a tinge of joy rose within him. Did this also mean that Indra could be his completely and utterly? From body to soul, from beginning to end.
"Asura, there's something wrong with your expression." Indra said suspiciously.
"Why are you suddenly calling me by my name?" Ashura said in a serious tone.
"I guess I'm just used to it. Ashura, don't you think calling him 'Your Majesty' all the time will make our relationship seem distant?"
Indra's casual attitude was neither very respectful nor very rude. His strategizing demeanor was very similar to the fierceness he had when he tried to kill Aoki before.
"Maybe he has more secrets." Ashura thought.
After briefly explaining everything in the abyss, Asura grabbed Indra's wrist and sprinted up the mountain road.
Their figures intertwined in the thick fog, and Emperor Shitian discovered that this was no ordinary fog, but countless layers of seals. The higher they went, the thinner the fog became, which meant the seals were weaker.
"Puchi." Indra laughed out loud while flying.
"Why are you laughing?" Ashura frowned in confusion, looking down at him with a rather cold expression. Just now, in order to make climbing the mountain more convenient, he simply held Indra in his arms.
Ghosts and gods were much taller than other races, so this wasn't a problem for Asura. He just had to be careful, as the Celestials in his embrace always claimed to be weak.
"I can't believe that the dignified Asura, the lord of ghosts and gods, is still using such a primitive method to travel." Indra laughed loudly. He laughed so hard that Asura almost lost his grip.
He pressed Emperor Shitian back into his arms again and whispered, "Don't move, Emperor Shitian."
"You rarely call my name... No, you almost never call others by their names. Why, Asura?" Indra muttered to himself.
"No need to say much to the weak." Ashura's face was dark.
"Ashura said a lot to me, but I'm hardly a powerful god." Indra sighed and shook his head. "Ashura, you're saying one thing and thinking another again."
Even if you don't say anything, as long as I see your eyes, I know what you are thinking, Ashura.
Ashura covered Indra's eyes with his palms, which immediately stopped Indra's chattering and teasing. The handsome prince frowned slightly, "What do you want to do?"
