Judgment

Judgment

The lotus pond was calm and there was no sign of a fight.

Emperor Shitian sat on the shore, glanced at the fading spirit body of the Bright Sky, raised his hand and took it into his pocket. His fingertips lightly touched the lotus petals, and a smile like ripples appeared in his golden eyes as he lowered his head.

"My friend Ashura... have you ever seen the golden clouds drifting high in the sky? They always chase the sun, but at dusk they merge into the starry river beside the moon boat."

He suddenly turned his head to look at the other person, and the necklaces on his clothes made a sound of shattering jade in the wind.

"And the moment we meet again is like a moment captured by the fingers of a god—a moment earlier and the lotus bud has not bloomed, a moment later and the golden bell has fallen."

Suddenly he chuckled, and a ray of light filled with spiritual energy condensed from his fingertips.

"The perfection hidden in this fleeting moment actually made me begin to believe...that fate isn't always harsh."

Suddenly, the light spread like fireflies all over the sky, and the voice sank into the abyss of gentleness.

"So at this moment, I allow myself to indulge in this God-given joy for a little while."

When a glass of wine goes down your throat, time seems to flow by.

Indra was not a good drinker, so under the hypnotic influence of alcohol, he quickly closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep under the blossoming tree. The vibrant colors of the flowers dotted his body. He was like a person in a painting.

Asura, stranded far away in the abyss, seemed to have heard these words. He seized a fragment of spirit that had just sunk into the abyss, before it could dissipate. It was the spirit of a high-ranking deity, descending from the heavens. In the midst of annihilation, it brought news of the one Asura cared about.

"Indra!" Asura crushed the soul struggling in agony at his fingertips. "I will definitely come to find you. I will trample down millions of dead souls with my bloody energy. Then you will come out to see me in person."

"Your Majesty, why do you insist on planting lotus flowers in the abyss? The climate of the abyss is not suitable for the growth of lotus." A ghost soldier brought a dry and rotten lotus rhizome and presented it to Asura.

"Blow up the abyss below and let the spiritual energy of the Celestial Clan come over." Ashura said.

The soldier was terrified and panicked, "Your Majesty, this is absolutely unacceptable! The demon of destruction is sealed beneath the abyss. If he escapes, we, the ghost clan, will surely suffer a devastating disaster."

The ghosts were driven into the abyss by the celestials, and gradually adapted to the harsh environment of the abyss over generations. The abyss's original inhabitants were actually monsters from a lower level.

The first generation of ghosts and gods sacrificed themselves to seal the demons and drove them to the even worse bottom of the abyss, which allowed the ghosts to find a place to live in the abyss.

"The ghost clan and the demon clan are of the same origin. It is not the ghost clan that caused all this, but the high and mighty celestial clan." Ashura said.

"Your Majesty, are you really going to break the taboo for Indra?" the soldier asked nervously.

"Who said it was for Indra?" Ashura overreacted. "Don't mention that name in front of me."

The soldier thought to himself: Didn't you just say that? But he was too angry to say anything, so he could only nod and say he had gone underground.

As soon as I reached the corner, I met Qingmu, who had just recovered from Da Shang, and was called aside.

"Your Majesty has been infatuated with that person from the Celestial Clan. This will lead to the destruction of the Ghost Clan. We cannot just let this happen." Qingmu said.

"Lord Aoki, should we... appoint a new king?"

"No need. The king wants to attack the Celestial Tribe, which suits my wishes perfectly. Let's add fuel to the flames of war." Qing Mu sneered. "Those who are incompetent are destined to be killed."
