Xiao Yan picked up the scissors on the table and threw them out. The scissors cut Liu Xi's forehead and pierced into the solid floor.
"Shut up! Say one more word and I'll kill you!"
Liu Xi covered his bloodied forehead and stood up with the help of the young eunuch beside him. "I know Your Highness doesn't like to hear this. I have watched Your Highness grow up. If the late Queen were still alive, she would not want to see Your Highness suffer like this."
Xiao Yan's face was tense, his bony fingers creaking as they pressed against the wheelchair. He lowered his head and uttered a single word viciously, "Get out!"
Liu Xi left with a sigh, and the young eunuch stayed to help Ji Yunhuan pack up the New Year gifts.
Before leaving, the young eunuch hurriedly stuffed a silver note into Ji Yunhuan's hand and said in a low voice, "The Imperial Concubine wants to see you."

Ji Yunhuan knew that Xiao Yan wanted to get rid of her, just like Xiao Yan always took medicine late at night and didn't want her to see it.
They had known each other for less than a month, and there were always some secrets between them that could not be revealed to others. She was also hiding something from Xiao Yan.
Ji Yunhuan responded and went into the house to get some food and cloth. She smiled and said, "Then I'll go first and give some to Sister Bai Zhi as well. She has always been very kind to me."
Xiao Yan breathed a sigh of relief. He really didn't want Xiao Yun to see his ferocious appearance. "It's all right. You can do whatever you want."
