The car quickly arrived at the styling studio that Jin Ye'an had arranged to meet.
Makeup takes some time, so Shi Jing didn't let Miao Chen wait in the same spot. She could wait upstairs or go for a walk around the neighborhood.
Jin Ye'an booked this studio; the two have collaborated extensively in the past. This studio is quite well-known in the industry, and many artist teams work with it.
As soon as Jin Ye'an entered, a stylishly dressed mature woman came to greet him.
"Ye An, you've finally arrived! Are you back to start over or do you have other plans?" The mature woman and Jin Ye An clearly had a good relationship, and she started asking questions as soon as they met.

The two women were in a dressing room, where Annie was helping with their hair and makeup while chatting with Jin Ye'an.
Out of consideration for Shi Jing's presence, Annie didn't ask any inappropriate questions, only chatting about Jin Ye'an's recent life and work. Shi Jing didn't disturb them, listening quietly.

"I'm feeling much better lately."
“It’s good to have a new environment; the child will be more relaxed,” Annie said. “You should have done this a long time ago.”
"Yes, that's right."
Shi Jing didn't know what had happened to Jin Ye'an in the past, but from their conversation, she could tell that the other person's past life was probably not very smooth.
They only mentioned Miaomiao briefly before quickly shifting back to work.
After the two finished their makeup, Shi Jing called Miao Chen, who quickly drove to pick them up. He drove them to the venue of the party and waited for them to go inside before leaving.
Jin Ye'an had lived in Beijing for many years, and her connections in the industry far surpassed those of Shi Jing. A major reason she agreed to return this time was her intention to reconnect with those connections from the past.
She was once quite prestigious in the capital, so soon after she entered, many people looked in her direction.
Most people were still observing, but one or two people were unaffected by the attitudes of others and came up to greet them warmly.
"Director Jin, it's been a long time." The woman who came over to greet him was a mature woman, dressed in a well-fitting dress, both fashionable and elegant.

They exchanged pleasantries for a short while when someone called her name. Shi Jing turned around and saw that it was Zhao Xunkan.
"Excuse me, my friend is over there. I'll go say hello. Please excuse me."
Mr. Liu glanced in the direction Shi Jing had greeted, clearly recognizing him as well, and his attitude became even more amiable. After exchanging greetings, Shi Jing walked away, and Jin Ye'an didn't go with him either; the two went about their own business.
Shi Jing walked over and saw Zhao Xunkan listlessly holding a glass of red wine, sipping it half-heartedly.
She walked over, sat down next to him, and casually put her wine glass aside.
"Why are you here too?"
"It's all because of my brother. He insisted on coming. The whole room is full of people trying to build connections and find business opportunities. It's so boring," Zhao Xunkan complained softly.

Suddenly a voice came from behind them. Shi Jing was startled and turned around. He didn't know when Zhao Xunkun had arrived, but he was standing not far behind them.

It's clear the two brothers have a good relationship. Zhao Xunkun seemed relaxed around his younger brother. He must have just come from a social event, as he had a faint smell of alcohol on him, but it wasn't unpleasant.
He sat down on the sofa next to the two of them and placed his wine glass on the table: "Didn't you want to invest in the resort? If you get to know more people, maybe a suitable opportunity will come your way."
"Brother, how did you know?" Zhao Xunkan asked in surprise.
"You still think you've kept it a secret? Not only do I know, but Dad knows too."
"..." Zhao Xunkan was speechless for a moment. He thought they had kept it a secret very well.
"Even so, not many people here are interested." Although his secret actions had been discovered, Zhao Xunkan still had no interest in the party.
He glanced around the reception area, seeing successful people from all walks of life. He didn't think there was anything wrong with wanting to build a resort, but he figured no one here would be interested.
As he was thinking this, he looked away and saw Shi Jing's interested gaze.

Shi Jing patted Zhao Xunkan on the shoulder, thinking that the boy was really being unreasonable.
As the wealthiest family in Beijing, the Zhao family has connections and resources in this area. If they were to make good use of them, wouldn't it be a piece of cake for them to build a mountain resort?
Even though his brother was there, Shi Jing didn't bring up the topic directly.
The spot they were sitting in wasn't secluded, but since Zhao Xunkan and Shi Jing had been there before, no one had come over to chat. Now that Zhao Xunkun had sat down, people started coming over shortly afterward.
When someone came to speak, even Zhao Xunkun couldn't remain seated and had to get up to respond. His gaze swept over the two young people sitting in a row, and before walking away, he suddenly turned to look at them: "Miss Shi, would you like to join us?"
