Chapter 12 Dribbling

What a coincidence! It just so happens that the cheap dad was with his little lover.

Shi Jing originally did not want to have any interaction with the other party, but unfortunately the other party was someone who loved to step on people's sore spots.

"Honey, hurry up! Other people's babies are already protesting!" The young woman touched her belly. "Our son is definitely smarter than others; he's already expressing his opinions at such a young age."

Shi Jing touched her nose, feeling uncomfortable with what she was saying. It was obvious who this "other person" was referring to.

She stood up, a sweet smile on her face, and looked at her adoptive father: "Dad, what a coincidence, you're here too?"

She didn't hold back at all when she spoke, and many people waiting for their food looked over.

She looked at the young woman, still smiling, and said, "This must be Auntie. Nice to meet you. My name is Shi Jing, and I'm my father's daughter."

She was well-nourished, and although she was only fifteen years old, she was already 1.69 meters tall, standing taller than that woman.

The young woman turned green with embarrassment when such a grown girl called her "auntie."

Shi Hai didn't seem to notice anything, but he was a little embarrassed to have his daughter see him like this. He coughed lightly and said, "Xiao Jing, what are you doing here? Didn't you go to school today?"

"Dad, we finished our exams today and have a holiday. Mom isn't home, so I went shopping with my classmates," Shi Jing replied with a smile.

"Oh. Then Dad will transfer some money to you, so you can buy yourself some clothes."

"Okay, thank you, Dad," Shi Jing said sweetly.

"Come back and stay for a few days sometime. Your grandma misses you too," Shi Hai said.

Upon hearing about returning to the Shi family home, Shi Jing hesitated for a moment, but she wasn't foolish enough to go against her adoptive father at this time. She continued sweetly, "Okay, Dad. I also miss Grandma."

She had never met her adoptive grandmother before, and in her memory, this patriarchal old woman didn't seem to like the original owner much. But that didn't stop Shi Jing from trying to win her favor.

Shi Hai took out his phone and tapped a few times before saying to Shi Jing, "Dad has something to do and has to go first. You should go home early after you finish shopping."

They're not buying mung bean soup anymore.

Her phone beeped in her pocket, and she said goodbye to her adoptive father with a smile: "Okay, goodbye Dad. Goodbye Auntie."

When Shi Jing called her "Auntie," her tone was especially sweet.

The woman's face was pale. There were many people around, and Shi Hai was very concerned about his image, so she didn't dare to say anything. She just rubbed her stomach and mumbled that her stomach was uncomfortable, which gradually drew Shi Hai's attention.

Before leaving, the woman secretly glared at Shi Jing, but Shi Jing was not angry. Instead, he said, "Auntie, if you're not feeling well, you should rest well. You must take good care of our Shi family's little brother."

Seeing that the two had left, Shi Jing sat down, took out his phone and looked at it. Tsk, 100,000 yuan had been deposited into his account. Is this cheap dad really that generous just because he said a few sweet words?

After reading the message, she looked up and saw her two classmates staring at her in disbelief.

Qi Shuang even forgot she was pouring tea, and the tea spilled directly onto the table, threatening to damage Qi Yan's phone.

Shi Jing reacted quickly, holding the teapot with one hand and picking up the phone with the other.

Only then did the two finally take action. Qi Yan took the phone, and Qi Shuang quickly pulled out a tissue to wipe the tea on the table.

After finishing her work, Qi Shuang exclaimed, "My goodness, this is the first time I've ever seen you smile so... so..."

She didn't know how to describe it for a moment.

Shi Jing chimed in, "Flattery."

"Ah, yes, that's the word!"

The original owner of this body was always aloof and looked down on everyone. After Shi Jing arrived, he changed his style, but became much colder and naturally stopped flattering people.

Shi Jing smiled and said, "My father is my provider, so I should always show him some respect."

Qi Shuang laughed upon hearing this: "Come on, you sound so pretentious."

"Was that your stepmother?" Qi Shuang asked casually. Qi Yan, on the other hand, was much more careful and gently nudged Qi Shuang, afraid that Shi Jing might be upset.

Shi Jing waved his hand: "It's nothing. My dad's mistress is currently trying to take over the position while pregnant."

If the child is confirmed to be a boy, then it's only a matter of time before that woman takes his place. After all, given how quickly the father made room for his son, it's unlikely he'd want his son to be an illegitimate child. Besides, there's an old lady in the Shi family who's eager to have a grandson.

This was just a minor incident; for those around them, it was simply a bit of gossip.

Shi Jing received 100,000 coins, and was in a very good mood.

The food was served quickly, and after the three of them ate, they went shopping again.

Qi Yan was the main buyer, with Shi Jing and Qi Shuang helping her with her shopping. Enjoying herself so much, Shi Jing had long forgotten about the others.

Two days later, a car stopped downstairs at Shi Jing's house.

It turned out to be the Shi family driver who came to pick up Shi Jing.

"Mom, the driver came to pick me up today, why didn't you tell me?"

"What's there to say? Xiao Jing, take your books and stay there for a few more days. It's your home there too, and I doubt they'd dare mistreat you," Ms. Yan said.

Recently, Ms. Yan and her young boyfriend have been getting very close, and she often stays out all night. As her daughter, Shi Jing doesn't really know what to say.

However, there's no need to be in such a hurry to kick her out. Shi Jing felt quite helpless.

"You silly child, your dad is willing to come and pick you up to build a relationship, why don't you hurry up and go?"

Although Shi Jing felt helpless, she didn't resist going to the Shi family, since she had already prepared herself mentally.

She had no choice but to go back to her room to pack some clothes to change into, then put on her backpack and took the books she wanted to read.

The driver downstairs was waiting outside the car. When he saw Shi Jing dragging the suitcase down, he quickly went up to her and helped her with the things.

Shi Jing didn't stand on ceremony and handed both boxes to the driver: "Uncle Chen, the red box contains books, it's a bit heavy, please be careful when you carry it."

“Yes, Miss,” Uncle Chen replied.

Shi Jing put on her backpack and sat in the back seat, waiting for the driver to unload her things before driving back.

As the car entered the villa area, it was a familiar place from my memory. The car drove directly into the yard and parked at the gate. People quickly came out of the house to help with the luggage.

"Miss, you're back. The old lady is waiting for you in the living room," said Aunt Liu, whom you had met before.

The old lady Liu Ma mentioned was Shi Jing's adoptive grandmother.

The old lady usually lives a comfortable and carefree life in a nursing home in the suburbs and rarely comes back. I never expected her to be at home now; it's like the sun has risen in the west.

Shi Jing nodded: "I understand, thank you, Aunt Liu."

With help from others carrying his luggage, Shi Jing didn't stand on ceremony and went straight into the house.

In the spacious and bright living room, an elderly woman sat on an elegant European-style sofa. She clearly didn't like the newly replaced sofa, occasionally showing a look of disdain, but she showed no intention of replacing it.

When Shi Jing was here last time, the furniture was all in a simple Chinese style. He didn't expect that a few months later, the furniture and lighting would all be changed.

But it's not surprising that it has a new owner.

Her attention shifted to the old lady on the sofa, and she greeted her sweetly, "Grandma, it's been so long! Xiao Jing has missed you so much!"
