Chapter 30 Farewell

At nine o'clock the next day, Rong Yu sent her a message, asking if she was available now, and that he would send the notes over.

Shi Jing was still lazing in bed when he saw the message and immediately got up.

Scrolling through her phone was too time-consuming; she almost forgot about it.

Shi Jing quickly replied to the other party, agreeing to meet at the front gate in fifteen minutes, and then hurriedly ran to the bathroom to wash up.

After quickly washing up and changing his clothes, Shi Jing grabbed his keys and hurried downstairs.

Shi Jing jogged over, and when she arrived at the door, Rong Yu was already waiting there.

Upon seeing Shi Jing, Rong Yu waved.

"Don't rush, take it slow."

When Shi Jing arrived, he handed over the large bag he was carrying: "These are my notes from all three years of high school, mainly for science subjects."

When Shi Jing looked at it, good heavens, it was a huge bag, containing at least twenty or thirty thick notebooks.

She lifted it; it was very heavy.

"It's a bit heavy, do you need me to help you carry it inside?" Rong Yu asked.

"Then I'll have to trouble you." Shi Jing didn't stand on ceremony and took the lead.

Rong Yu helped her carry the books into the house. Shi Jing's house was clean and tidy, and there was no one else home, so he didn't stay long. After carrying the books into Shi Jing's room, he said goodbye.

Shi Jing tried to persuade the person to stay, but to no avail, so she escorted them to the door and said goodbye. After the person left, she returned to her room and began tidying up her notes.

There were many notes, and Rongyu had carefully marked each day's cover, so Shijing only needed to put them away according to the marks.

On September 1st, Tianyuan Private Middle School officially opened.

The school has returned to its lively and bustling state.

Qi Shuang, whom she hadn't seen in a long time, surrounded Shi Jing, curious to see the results of her training over the summer. Shi Jing was now much more agile and skillful, and Qi Shuang couldn't catch her at all.

Qi Yan watched from the side and found it amusing: "Alright, Xiao Shuang, you're being walked around like a puppy."

Qi Shuang finally realized what was happening: "Great, Shi Jing!"

A new round of playful antics began.

After playing around for a while, Qi Shuang asked, "Jing-ge, school will start soon, right?"

"Yeah, he's been packing his luggage at home these past two days. My mom bought him a lot of things, but I doubt he'll be able to bring them all."

Qi Yan chuckled as she thought of her brother's utterly hopeless expression.

Shi Jing wasn't familiar with Qi Jing, only remembering that he was a rather handsome boy, so she just listened to their casual conversation.

"Then will Aunt Jiang and Uncle Jiang have to see him off?" Qi Shuang laughed gleefully. "I remember when he started college, he brought a lot of things, and a lot of people thought he was moving."

Hearing this, Qi Yan also laughed.

"When does he start school? I'm going to go and make fun of him."

Qi Yan said, "Next Friday, I guess you won't be able to see the excitement. School starts on the 12th."

"I see." Qi Shuang said with some regret.

When the two talked about this topic, Shi Jing thought of Rong Yu, who was all alone here. She wondered if anyone would see him off. Perhaps she should ask him later.

As he said this, a male teacher walked into the classroom. After entering the classroom, the teacher introduced himself: "Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My surname is Li, and I will be your homeroom teacher for the next year."

"Hello, Teacher Li," the students greeted her.

"Alright, now please have all the subject representatives collect the summer homework and bring it to my office later. My office is room 302 on this floor. You can come to me directly if you have any questions."

The homeroom teacher came over, gave a brief introduction, and then left quickly.

After the start of the school year, everything returned to normal, and Shi Jing resumed her regular daily study routine.

It wasn't until the weekend that she remembered Rong Yu was going back to school, so she sent him a message to confirm his departure time.

Shi Jing got up early on Sunday morning. After washing up, she yawned and went downstairs. She waited for a short while at the entrance of the Green Forest Community before she saw Rong Yu dragging a suitcase and a backpack out.

Upon seeing the person, Shi Jing quickly waved to attract their attention.

"morning!"

"Why are you here?" Rong Yu's expression showed a hint of surprise.

"I'll see you off. Do you mind if I go to the high-speed rail station with you?"

Rong Yuwei hesitated slightly: "Wouldn't that be too much trouble?"

However, his expression told a completely different story. Seeing his hesitant tone, yet his expression was full of anticipation, Shi Jing realized that the other party was willing.

"Have you bought the tickets?" Shi Jing asked.

"Okay. I've bought it." Rong Yu nodded.

"Okay, let's go then."

The two took the subway, a line that went directly to the high-speed rail station. At the high-speed rail station, Shi Jing escorted the person to the ticket gate, and before it was time to board, he found a seat and sat down.

"Take good care of yourself while you're away from home." Shi Jing racked her brains, thinking of farewell lines from TV dramas.

Rong Yu laughed out loud and nodded seriously: "Okay."

"If you have any difficulties, you can come to me. Maybe I can help."

Rong Yu couldn't resist ruffling her hair, his heart softening: "Okay."

The two chatted awkwardly for a while before it was time to queue for ticket inspection. At the ticket gate, Rong Yu looked at Shi Jing and said solemnly, "Thank you for coming to see me off. I'm very happy."

"Don't mention it, we're friends." Shi Jing said, giving him a friendly hug. "Take care, see you again during the holidays."

Okay. Goodbye.

After waving goodbye, Shi Jing watched him go inside before turning back.
