Chapter 68 Team Formation

The central monitoring room wasn't far from the cafeteria; they arrived in about five minutes.

The monitoring room was on the first floor. After the young man went in, he spoke with the person in charge of the monitoring room. The person in charge then called his superiors. About twenty minutes later, he finally got approval.

The girl had already retrieved her phone and was talking to her father, recounting how her phone had almost been stolen and how she had been targeted by others.

Shi Jing didn't know how to evaluate this person. Logically speaking, since she was able to come to the summer camp, her intelligence should be quite good. Why did she seem to have a worrying emotional intelligence?

She pouted and looked very unhappy after her father said something on the other end of the phone.

Soon, the person in charge retrieved the surveillance footage. No unauthorized personnel were allowed to enter the monitoring room, so the two young men watched it once before coming out.

After speaking with her father on the phone, the girl's attitude had softened considerably, but she still spoke with an air of superiority: "You found out, didn't you? He's the one who stole it!"

The young woman sighed and said, "Young lady, you did drop your phone by accident. This classmate found it and just wanted to return it to you."

"How could that be! If he wanted to give it back to me, why didn't he call me? If I hadn't discovered my phone was missing, he probably would have hidden it and run away." The little girl refused to believe it.

"You can come in with me to see the surveillance footage. You wronged this classmate. I hope you can apologize to him properly after watching the footage!" the girl added.

The little girl looked incredulous and rushed into the monitoring room. A short while later, she ran out angrily, shouting, "You found my phone and why didn't you call me, you poor bastard! Were you trying to hide it away?!"

Almost everyone present was shocked by her words.

The young woman was also angry at this point, and looked at her seriously: "Classmate, if you continue to make personal attacks on other students and refuse to apologize properly, then we will have no choice but to report this matter to the organizing committee."

These issues are usually resolved privately and do not escalate. However, once they reach the organizing committee, things often become uncontrollable.

This girl has been making personal attacks on the boy, and this matter could be a big deal or a small one. If she can just apologize honestly, that's fine, but if this escalates, the consequences could be quite serious.

Upon hearing that the matter had been reported to the organizing committee, the girl became somewhat nervous, her expression tightening slightly. She looked at the boy, somewhat unwilling, but to avoid making a scene, she suppressed her temper and apologized.

"I'm sorry, I wronged you."

The boy felt a sense of relief, waved his hand, and stammered, "Never mind, never mind."

Seeing that the boy didn't seem to care, the girl apologized, took her phone, and left. The younger man among the two people who came to mediate patted her on the shoulder: "Alright, go home and get some rest. Don't let this affect your mood."

"Um, thank you."

Thanks to this conflict, many people have already become familiar with these two people even before the summer camp has officially started, especially the arrogant little girl, who has attracted a lot of attention.

After the excitement subsided, the crowd dispersed. The young man and woman who remained at the back couldn't help but sigh. They had heard from their seniors in previous years that there were always some unruly students like this among the students. They never expected that they would encounter such a thing in their first year as team leaders.

Shi Jing left relatively late and also heard the sigh.

She walked towards the dormitory building with Su Lili and Wu Yufei. As they walked, Su Lili suddenly clapped her hands and exclaimed, "I remember now!"

"What do you remember?" Wu Yufei asked, puzzled.

Su Lili then realized she had made a sound, and scratched her head with a smile: "I've seen that boy before. He's from our city. I even saw him once during the provincial finals. I heard he's very talented, but he doesn't talk much."

Anyone who makes it to the summer camp is no ordinary person, and to be praised as very capable by Su Lili must mean they are truly outstanding.

The three returned to their dormitory building, and Shi Jing parted ways with them.

Back in her room, Shi Jing still had some time, so she spent some time finishing the problems she hadn't completed in the afternoon before washing up and resting.

The next day, I exercised as usual, ate breakfast, and then attended the summer camp opening ceremony with two new friends.

After the opening ceremony, the summer camp officially began.

A total of 192 people participated in the summer camp. They were divided into 24 teams of 8 people each. Teams could be formed by themselves or randomly by drawing lots.

Shi Jing, Su Lili, and Wu Yufei formed a group, and they still needed to find some other group members. At this point, it would depend on everyone's affability and how well they made friends throughout the day.

As they were interacting, Shi Jing suddenly noticed the boy who was almost huddled in the corner.

Does this person have social anxiety? They seem particularly afraid of interacting with people.

Shi Jing was somewhat interested in this person, and remembering that Su Lili had mentioned yesterday that this person was very capable, he couldn't help but think of inviting him.

"Su Lili, Wu Yufei." Shi Jing didn't make a decision immediately. As a team, it's best to get the consent of others before making a decision.

"Look at that guy, isn't he the one who was watching the commotion yesterday? How about we invite him?"

Su Lili and Wu Yufei had no objections and readily agreed.

Neither of them objected, so Shi Jing stepped forward to extend the invitation.

There was no one else in the corner where the boy was hiding, so he didn't attract anyone's attention. After Shi Jing walked over, the boy stiffened at first, then relaxed slightly and looked at Shi Jing.

"Don't be nervous." Shi Jing raised his hand first to indicate that he was harmless, and then introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Shi Jing, and I am from Tianyuan City, J Province."

"Hello, I'm Fang Ning, from Nuoyuan City, N Province." Fang Ning stammered as she introduced herself, carefully observing Shi Jing's expression. Only when she realized that the other party showed no impatience did she relax slightly.

"We've formed a team and would like to invite you to join. Would you like to?"

Fang Ning was somewhat surprised, her eyes widening: "Me...me?"

"right."

"I...I have a bit of a stutter, maybe..." The boy hesitated, wanting to join but also afraid of being rejected.

Shi Jing smiled and said, "It's alright, everyone hopes you can join us."

Fang Ning sensed Shi Jing's sincerity and cautiously nodded in agreement: "Okay, okay."

After inviting the team members, Shi Jing led a group to find Su Lili and Wu Yufei. Both of them had excellent social skills and quickly found teammates who were willing to join.

Most students are quite tolerant; even some arrogant individuals tend to be discreet when it comes to others' flaws, so Fang Ning's joining didn't provoke much opposition. Of course, this is also related to the fact that Su Lili and the other person explained the situation from the beginning.

The eight-person team was quickly assembled. After exchanging names, they elected Wu Yufei as the team leader, and she went to the team leader's office to register the team.
