Chapter 224

Chapter 224

This chapter is a film review

@Vanilla Taro Cookies:

[I picked some time to watch all the new movies that were released recently. Let me give you my conclusion first. "Only the Moon Passes By" is the best movie of the month in my mind. If it was released during the May Day holiday, perhaps the box office results would be better.

The reason why I think it is the best is simple. The leading actors are handsome men and beautiful women, it is pleasing to my eyes, and the plot is also more respectful of my IQ. There is no forced sensationalism or melodrama, and the adult love entanglements are just right. It is well worth the thirty-plus dollars.

If anyone wants to watch it, here are some tips for watching it. Although both Mandarin and Cantonese are Ling Suisui's original voice, I still recommend that you choose Cantonese. Ling Suisui is from Guangdong Province, and she speaks Cantonese very nicely. Plus, the movie is set in Hong Kong, so some of the lines sound more poetic in Cantonese.

The most discussed part of this movie is the sex scene full of sexual tension. A friend asked me a few days ago how the sex scene that people talk about so much passed the review? I said you would know if you went to the cinema and saw it, only the male actor took off his shirt, and the kisses were all above the neck, if that is not acceptable then it would be too much.

Despite this, it is still not recommended to bring children to watch it, after all, the atmosphere on the scene is quite ambiguous. I think this is a very good teaching film on intimate scenes. Just kissing can show the sexual desire and immersion of two people. It is worthy of learning for colleagues in movies and TV dramas.

A lot has been discussed about sex scenes, so today I want to talk to you about something different.

This is the second time I’ve watched Ling Sui-sui’s movie, and his previous film “Zhao Jiang” also supported the box office. I agree that Ling Sui-sui deserves the title of Best Actress, but the reason why her performance was so touching was somewhat due to the influence of her role as a historical figure.

This is not a criticism of her, in fact I think she is amazing. Because the more remarkable a historical figure is, the more difficult it is to interpret his or her image, because historical achievements have proven that his or her character is far beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Even so, Ling Suisui still performed well. Many people may not realize that the huge success of "Zhao Jiang" means more to Ling Sui than just the box office and awards. More importantly, she was able to play a real female general well and gain recognition from everyone by spending money on tickets.

Think about other actors. It would be easy to distract people from the role if they were asked to play a paper-like boss who is floating on the ground. This shows the quality of Ling Sui's acting skills.

So, this time when I watched "Only the Moon Passes By", out of trust in Ling Sui, I was full of confidence before the movie started, thinking that it would be great with her in the movie.

My psychological expectation was that it would be stable, but after watching it, my feeling was wow. If someone were to choose a "role that no one else can play", I would definitely vote for Ling Sui-year-old Qiao Xintong.

The compatibility between Ling Suisui and Qiao Xintong lies in their faces. It is very convincing for her to play a great beauty, but there are many beautiful female stars in China. What makes Ling Suisui irreplaceable is that she gives this character a vivid soul.

The following content may contain spoilers and is not recommended for viewers who have not seen the movie. Although the plot of this romance film is not very novel, keeping it unknown and fresh will give you a better experience while watching it.

The character Qiao Xintong rarely appears as the protagonist in domestic film and television works. She has a good family background, good looks, but a slightly bad personality, which is totally not what "kind and easy to get along with" means.

She has a very casual attitude towards relationships, and the status of her "boyfriend" in her heart is similar to that of a new bag, or even slightly inferior. Until the end of the film, you cannot be sure that the male protagonist is her true love. After all, she has never made such a promise.

She can take other people's efforts for granted, accept the preferential treatment provided by others with ease, and never think about how she can repay them. We are all adults, and our relationship is consensual. Do we have to measure it by weight? She didn't ask others to love her.

She was born with nothing lacking, and all this love came from their willingness, and she did not force anyone. In Qiao Xintong's world, there is almost no concept of "being deeply moved". It is their honor to make her happy.

In past film and television works, female characters with the above labels were often called vicious female supporting roles. Qiao Xintong happens to be the protagonist.

She is not only the protagonist, but also the heroine - it is undeniable that the male image of a playboy may be popular, but the female character is destined to face stricter moral judgment.

This is not the first time that Ling Suisui has played a "morally imperfect" heroine. Previously, she played Cheng Yimo in "Perfect Life", who was an obvious egoist.

To give an example, if Cheng Yimo (adult version) just didn't stand on the moral high ground, then Qiao Xintong's position is simply the Great Rift Valley of East Africa. It is difficult for the actor to get any filter from this role, and even reverse blood transfusion is needed.

So I would say that apart from Ling Suisui, I can’t imagine a second choice for Qiao Xintong. This is not her comfort zone, nor even the audience's comfort zone. To play such a role, one must be prepared to subvert the audience's impression. Besides her, who else has such courage?

"Novelty" is sometimes a good word, but if you don't strike the right balance between the two, it can easily lead to people's subconscious rejection. Fortunately, Ling Suisui succeeded.

Qiao Xintong is a very aggressive character, but Ling Sui always has a smile on her face. This smile is very decent and just right, making people feel like spring breeze. She is conspicuous, but in people's first impression, she is gentle.

Be careful, when you have such thoughts, you have fallen into Qiao Xintong's trap. The foreshadowing of this cunning and clever woman was laid from the very beginning of the movie.

I thought this was just a contrast in the first impression, a kind of reversal art, but the more I watched, the more I realized that Ling Suisui and the director's ambitions went beyond that.

Frankly speaking, "Only the Moon Passes By" is also known as "Qiao Xintong's Charm Award". Throughout the entire movie, there are many scenes that showcase her charm, solidifying Qiao Xintong's status as a heartthrob. The most rare thing is that this outward charm does not contain any gaze. You can clearly feel that she will not cater to or please anyone, but instead the whole world has to accommodate her.

This sounds willful, but it seems reasonable when it happens to Qiao Xintong. Ling Suisui is a good actress. She fully portrayed Qiao Xintong's strong sense of deservingness. She just loves herself so much.

Almost soon after the movie began, Qiao Xintong tore off her gentle mask in front of the audience. She can use the gentlest tone to calm down her nagging ex-boyfriend, and instantly change her expression in the next second to let her assistant handle the matter.

Poor ex-boyfriend, if you only watch Qiao Xintong's performance before she turned around, I'm afraid even the audience would be fooled by her.

Her eyes were so affectionate, her movements so intimate, and her words and actions seemed to speak of her love for him.

Therefore, even if she is a notorious scumbag, the man in front of her will firmly believe that it is others who are spreading rumors and slandering her. If anyone wants to persuade them to break up, he must be trying to sow discord and wait for an opportunity to get ahead.

The audiences watching the movie will think that this man is really stupid, but when the camera pushes to a close-up of Qiao Xintong's face, when her watery eyes seem to be hesitant to speak, who would not be dazed for a moment?

It's hard to act affectionate, and it's even harder to pretend to be affectionate. Up to this point, Ling Sui's acting within the play can be described as perfection, but when she reveals a look of satisfaction from her evil taste, you know how naughty Qiao Xintong is. She wasn't just playing around, she did it on purpose.

The entire film's plot is centered around Qiao Xintong, and her perspective is often used as the audience's main perspective. I originally thought that this was the director's way of diluting the audience's dislike for Qiao Xintong's character. After all, the main perspective can enhance the sense of immersion and deceptiveness.

Later in the movie, when Lin Youqian analyzed his inner thoughts to her, Qiao Xintong's eyes were touched. At that time, I thought my guess was verified. Well, it turns out that this story is a gender-reversed version of the prodigal son, and the villainous daughter will wash her hair for love with a golden basin and become a good person from then on?

Although this story is a bit cliché, it is worth the money. It wasn't until near the end, when Qiao Xintong and Lin Youqian were sitting on the stone steps kissing, which was the scene in the poster, that I suddenly tasted something in the close-up shot.

I actually discovered this when I watched the movie for the second time with my friends. My friend was trying hard to suppress the urge to scream because of this kiss. I noticed Qiao Xintong's expression. She seemed to smile many times.

When opening, when negotiating, when dumping an ex-boyfriend...there will be subtle changes every time. I confirmed it when I watched it for the third time. As the plot progresses, the arrogance and alienation in her eyes will become more and more obvious, but the audience is unaware of it. Because of this kind of thing, Ling Suisui interpreted it as elitist and Su.

You thought Qiao Xintong was taking off her disguise in front of the audience, but is it possible that she was playing tricks on the audience from beginning to end? At that moment, I really doubted Qiao Xintong's love for Lin Youqian, but her eyes were so sincere, the kiss under the moon was so beautiful, and Lin Youqian was different from other men.

——When these thoughts came to my mind subconsciously, the boomerang that I had previously thought her ex-boyfriends were so stupid hit me accurately.

Qiao Xintong is such an unpredictable character. My trust in her is completely shattered, but I can't help but hold on to a glimmer of hope. Until this moment, I still feel a little gnashing my teeth. I should hate her, but I always think of her and long to find an answer from her.

This trivial matter, which seemed like a passing cloud to her, can still bother me and keep me thinking about it. Qiao Xintong, you are really great. Ling Suisui acted very well, next time... let him act more. 】
