Yun Shudai checked the time, then turned and went to the entrance of the residential area to pick up her food.
Mrs. Bai received a call from her son, who told her that the two of them had gone to visit someone else.
Bai Muyin frowned slightly in the underground parking lot: "Why do you suddenly want to stay for dinner?"
"We just ran into your sister Shushu. Since your Uncle Yun lives nearby, we came over to check on him. I'll send you the address, so come over quickly."
Bai Muyin looked at the phone that had already been hung up and raised an eyebrow slightly.
Yun Shudai brought the food home, but one of the dishes, a dry pot dish, needed to be kept heated to taste good.
There happened to be an alcohol stove at home, but Yun Shudai didn't know that there was something wrong with it. Before her mother could remind her, her daughter had already lit it. Before the flame even touched the wick, the alcohol sprayed out with flame, and because she was so close, it sprayed directly onto her face.
Fortunately, it wasn't too serious; it just involved a few strands of hair brushing against his forehead and some gray marks on his face.
As soon as Bai Muyin entered, he saw Yun Shudai's face in the kitchen, which looked like a cat's face, and found it somewhat comical and strangely amusing.
Hearing the commotion, Mrs. Bai from the restaurant rushed over: "Oh dear, Shushu, are you alright?"
"It's alright, it's alright."
Mother Yun used a cover to extinguish the fire, checked her daughter's face, and then said with relief, "This stove is broken. I told your dad to throw it away, but he insisted on fixing it himself. Honestly, it was so scary just now."
"It's okay, it's okay, Mom, Aunt Jin, it's just that I got some dust on my face. I'll wash my face and it'll be fine."
"Go quickly."
After instructing her daughter, Mother Yun turned her head and saw Bai Muyin standing at the door. She quickly said, "Muyin is here. Come in quickly."
After Bai Muyin entered, he glanced at his mother, who was beaming with joy, and then at his younger sister, who was gloating beside him. He understood what was going on.
"Aunt Chen... Mom."
"Mu Yin, please sit down."
Yun Shudai washed her face and came out of the bathroom. She was surprised to see Bai Muyin there as well, and quickly went up to greet him, saying, "Hello, Mr. Bai."
Mrs. Bai was a little displeased with how the two addressed each other, and quickly corrected them, saying, "Shushu has grown up and is no longer cute. Auntie remembers how you used to chase after me all the time when you were little, calling me 'Brother Mu' all the time. How come you're acting so distant now that we meet?"
"Ah... Auntie, no, I..."
"When you see your brother Mu in the future, call him the same way you used to. Sit down and have a good chat with the young people. Don't worry about me and your mother."
Bai Muyin remained silent, his expression indifferent.
Yun Shudai dared not utter a sound. She only just realized Aunt Jin's intentions, so she wished she could be invisible, keeping her head down and scrolling through her phone without saying a word.
Mrs. Bai looked at the two of them, unable to find a suitable topic for the young people, and gave Mu Qing a wink.
Mu Qing smiled and instantly understood. She coughed lightly and stood up: "Second brother, I really like Sister Shushu's 'Heavenly Sorrow Fire'. Have you read it?"
Bai Muyin said, "I don't watch TV much."
One sentence made Mu Qing roll her eyes. Second brother really is a blockhead. How is this social disaster going to be salvaged?
However, Mu Qing and Yun Shudai suddenly found themselves having more to talk about.
"I'm a lawyer, and I've represented people in the entertainment industry in lawsuits before. You can ask me any questions you may have in the future."
"No way, I don't want to get entangled in lawsuits, whether as the defendant or the plaintiff. I think it's best to stay away from you."
Yun Shudai's humor made Mu Qing chuckle: "You're right."
Wow, your manicure is so beautiful! Did you get it done at that salon?
Yun Shudai looked at her hands and smiled: "It's not over here. I just made this yesterday, and I really like it. I'll give you the address of that place. You can go there when you have time."
"Thanks."
