Chapter 247 Conditions of the Film Crew

Three days later, Yun Shudai brought An'an to the film crew.

This filming took place in a small town in Jiangnan.

I met Producer Xu as soon as I arrived at the location.

"It was a pleasure to work with you. Thank you for last time."

"Producer Xu, you're too kind. It's all thanks to your recommendation."

"Recommendations are one aspect, but the main thing is that it suits you. The venue here is a bit basic, so please bear with us. Let's get settled first, and then we'll have the opening ceremony this afternoon."

"good."

Yun Shudai and An'an followed the person in charge to the only hotel in the town.

It has four floors, with twelve rooms on each floor.

She and An'an were in a room on the third floor, in the middle. The furniture inside was a bit worn, and the toilet smelled terrible, but thankfully it faced the sun.

After An'an went inside, she quickly opened the window, covered her nose, and said, "Sister Shushu, this is too rudimentary. Look, there's yellow rust on the pool."

Yun Shudai didn't care. How good could the hotels in town be? She had encountered worse ones when she was filming before.

“I reckon there are rooms even worse than ours. We’ll go to town later to buy two sets of sheets and duvet covers to change into, and some cleaning agents to clean the room ourselves. There’s no other way.”

"All right."

After putting down their luggage, the two went to explore the town. The ancient town was somewhat dilapidated, with wooden buildings and brick houses, but the scenery was beautiful.

The two didn't linger; after buying the necessities, they returned to the hotel.

Downstairs, I encountered actors from both sides. The policeman was played by Zhang Kaiyi, who came from a military arts troupe, while the villain was played by Qin Hao, who has never really made it big in the industry.

There are also several supporting actors playing police officers: Li Huai, Du Cheng, Shi Yan, and a female forensic doctor, Zhang Yan.

There are more than a dozen actors in this drama, and most of them are present.

"Hello everyone."

"Teacher Yun, where did you buy your bed sheets? I'm planning to change mine too."

Li Huai asked with a smile.

"They sell them right around the corner."

Zhang Yan, holding a basin, said, "There's no sink in my room, so I have to bring a basin to catch the water."

As soon as Zhang Yan spoke, Qin Hao, who was standing next to her, said, "All the cabinets over there are broken. The boss said he could get me a good one in a couple of days."

Zhang Yan laughed and said, "I'm fine. My scenes will be finished in four or five days."

Just then, the director and screenwriter came downstairs. Hearing their words, they quickly bowed and said, "I'm sorry, everyone. This is the only hotel our crew has chosen. We had them do a thorough cleaning before we arrived. If there's anything you're not satisfied with, you can ask the owner to fix it."

This drama isn't long. If everyone wants to leave this kind of living environment sooner, let's put in more effort and wrap up filming quickly.

Zhang Kaiyi replied, "Director, don't worry, we will definitely not cause any trouble for the crew and will cooperate with the filming unconditionally."

Director Wang smiled and clasped his hands together, saying to everyone, "Thank you. The production team will treat everyone to lunch. Let's get ready after lunch."

Yun Shudai watched Director Wang and the screenwriter leave before going upstairs with An'an.

The two of them worked together to change the sheets, but they felt the blankets weren't clean either, so they asked An'an to buy two more blankets.

An'an cleaned the toilet twice with disinfectant before she felt at ease.

At noon, Yun Shudai felt nauseous from cleaning and didn't go to eat.

"Sister Shushu, I went to see Teacher Zhang's room. She and her assistant share a big bed, and the sink inside is indeed broken. Oh well, at least ours is still okay."

Yun Shudai said, "Having a pool doesn't necessarily mean it's clean. Let's get ready, the opening ceremony is about to begin."

Actually, I wasn't prepared at all; I just wore a simple pair of jeans and a long-sleeved sweatshirt.

The main activity was following Director Xu and Producer Xu, who explained the project's progress, burning incense, worshipping the gods, and giving out red envelopes. There weren't many outsiders, but it was still quite lively.

After the ceremony, the director hired the town's chef to prepare a banquet and set up seven or eight tables for the crew.

We all had a meal together and got to know each other.
