He Wan and the other educated youths also wanted to participate, and sat at the back along with Su Ranran and Zhang Cuicao.
They were discussing the people selected from the various groups.
Zhang Cuicao said, "I only have casual acquaintances with the villagers, and I don't even know some of them. Who am I supposed to sue?"

Su Ranran exclaimed in surprise, "Ding Zhiqing didn't go?"
Li Chunsheng laughed: "She's waiting for her family to find her a job in the county; they don't think much of the teachers in the village."
The group responded with an "oh".
He Wan asked curiously, "Why don't you guys run for election?"
Wang Xiaorong shook her head: "The three of us are good at helping the team look after the fishpond. I'm not cut out to be a teacher."
Li Zheng adjusted his glasses and said, "We're planning to go to the river in a few days to catch fish with nets and put them in the fishpond. We'll also get some snails, clams, and aquatic plants from nearby." Then he looked at Zhang Cuicao and said, "Zhang, when you come, can you share some of the bean cakes with us?"
Zhang Cuicao said, "No, there might not be enough pigs to eat."
Li Chunsheng said, "I think it's better to divide it equally. Not only will we compete with you, but Liang Zhiqing's side might also compete with you, as they need chickens and ducks too."
Zhang Cuicao was stunned. How come someone was already eyeing her pig before she even got to eat it?
Su Ranran chuckled: "They're fighting over such a small amount of bean cakes."
He Wan suddenly chimed in, "I heard from the brigade leader that our village doesn't have many beans. Do you have any good ideas?"
