Yun Shudai had seen that scene before. In a small wooden house, a person sat on the bed, filled with grievances and resentment, thinking about all the sweet memories they had shared. First, tears streamed down their face, then they fell like broken beads, and finally, they cried out in heartbreak.
This is probably the most difficult part to act in the whole play. There are a lot of inner thoughts involved, and the beauty is shedding tears, so you have to show her beauty.
Although it sounded like a difficult task, Yun Shudai didn't find it that difficult.
He looked back, then sat down in a chair: "Then I'll begin."
"Okay, please begin."
Yun Shudai sat in the chair and got into character in almost twenty seconds. She thought of her loveless family in real life and her determination to make a name for herself and impress her parents after they abandoned her.
From willingly being "blood-sucked" by them for that little bit of warmth, to finally seeing the truth and feeling desperate resentment.
She walked alone to the stage of success, only to end up in a novel written by an author, as a female supporting character who was seen as a mistress by the entire internet. The male lead's apology ended the original owner's more than three years of deep affection. Now, watching him and the female lead walk hand in hand with their halo, the original owner's resentment was instantly ignited. She let out a loud "Ah!" that startled everyone in the conference room, including those in the corridor outside.
Hearing the noise, Sister Yao and An'an patted their chests in dismay and sighed softly, thinking that Yun Shudai had been scolded by the director.
Unbeknownst to them, Yun Shudai's crying scene also shocked the officials present, who were too shocked to utter a sound.
The actor's crying was incredibly immersive; his expressions and eyes could penetrate the heart, infecting the viewer with sadness or joy. From smiling through tears, to trying hard to hold back, from tear by tear to a string of tears, and finally breaking down in tears, it was so moving.
Finally, Director Xu slammed his hand on the table and stood up, pointing directly at Yun Shudai and saying to the people beside him, "She's the second female lead."
The few people who had previously been prejudiced all nodded silently, without any objection.
Upon hearing the director's words, Yun Shudai immediately fell silent and blinked a few times with her wide eyes.
Several people in charge smiled as they watched her control of the situation: "You're a good actress at crying."
"Thank you for the compliment, boss."
"Have your agent come over. Discuss the contract with our manager."
"OK."
When Yun Shudai came out, her eyes were red and tearful. Sister Yao was about to go forward to comfort her when she suddenly smiled and said, "Sister Yao, I passed. Second female lead."
Yun Shudai's words stunned Sister Yao and An'an, who could hardly believe it: "Really?"
"Really, the director wants you to go in."
"Great, that's wonderful." Sister Yao's mood was like a rollercoaster, going up and down. She never expected that she would come here to audition for the third female lead and directly land the second female lead role, and even the second female lead role for Director Xu. Under the gaze of many female artists in the corridor, Sister Yao happily entered the conference room.
Now that the female lead, second female lead, and third female lead have all been chosen, their trip was for nothing.
Yun Shudai unexpectedly landed the role of the second female lead, which not only delighted Sister Yao, but also surprised the company boss and Sister Zhang.
Their original plan for Yun Shudai was to rise from obscurity to recognition within two years. Then, they would focus on building a solid foundation and, when a good script came along, surprise the audience. Their main goal was to gain fans through talent.
