Chen Qing was caught off guard when Li Erniu stuffed a pear into her hand and then enthusiastically helped her with chores. Naturally, she understood what Li Erniu meant and quickly declined, saying, "No need, I'm not thirsty. This pear looks precious, you can keep it for yourself."
Li Erniu chuckled and scratched his head: "What precious stuff? It's all common stuff around here. You eat it." As he spoke, he started helping Chen Qing with his work without stopping.
Li Erniu's actions not only alarmed He Wan and Zhang Cuicao, but were also seen by Aunt Yanzi and several of his sisters-in-law who were not far away.
He chuckled and teased, "Erniu, your mother's things are so precious, how could she bear to let you bring one out while you're working?"
Li Erniu smiled but didn't say anything.
One of the women said, "I've never seen Erniu work so hard for anyone before. Chen Zhiqing is the first. Oh, Erniu has grown up. He knows how to care for others now."
Liang Shurui, standing to the side, looked rather unwell. Seeing the tears welling up in Chen Qing's pitiful eyes, as if he had suffered some injustice, even the hardest heart showed pity. He quickly stepped forward and patted Li Erniu, saying, "Erniu, I can help Chen Qing. If you have some free time, you can also help He Qing."
Li Erniu said, seemingly unaware of what was going on, "No need. I'll help Chen and Liang, or we can switch places. You can work with He."
Seeing this, Chen Qing quickly stepped aside from Li Erniu, walked to Liang Shurui's side, and took his arm: "Comrade Li Erniu, I have enough help from the comrades at the educated youth point, you should go back." As she spoke, she stuffed the pear in her hand back into his hand.

He walked away after saying that.
Chen Qing looked helplessly at the pear that had been shoved back into her hands, then looked at Liang Shurui. Liang Shurui, expressionless, took the pear and strode over to Li Erniu.
Before Li Erniu could say anything more, Liang Shurui had already turned and left.
Chen Qing stopped working and just stood next to Liang Shurui, watching her help her pick corn and cut the corn stalks, not daring to leave her side for a moment.
Seeing Zhang Cuicao's gloomy expression, He Wan blinked and patted her shoulder to comfort her.
This is the third time since the autumn harvest began that Chen Qing has had young men from the village help with the work.
When we got back that night, everyone was exhausted, like dead dogs, and didn't want to move at all, let alone cook.
Because of Zhang Cuicao's words today, He Wan took out four loaves of bread that Lao Yun had bought for her from her spatial storage and delivered them to Su Ranran and Zhang Cuicao's room: "Sister Ranran, Sister Cuicao, these breads are for you to eat. If you don't want to cook tonight, then don't cook."
When she came in, Su Ranran was eating her morning cornbread with a little soy sauce. Seeing what she brought in, she quickly refused, saying, "He Zhiqing, this is too precious. You should keep it for yourself."
Zhang Cuicao, who was pounding garlic nearby, nodded and said, "Yes, this bread was bought at the Friendship Store, right? Did you go to the city recently?"

Both of them were stunned when they saw the sausage, and Zhang Cuicao even started swallowing.
Unfortunately, He Wan didn't give them a chance and turned away.
The two people left behind looked at the bread in their arms, asking each other, "Should we eat it or take it back?"
Su Ranran said, "Eat up. We'll buy some pastries later and share them with He Zhiqing."
Zhang Cuicao nodded: "Mm." As soon as she finished speaking, the two of them abandoned the cornbread and started eating big mouthfuls of bread.
"Hmm? This bread is delicious."
"Yes, it's different from the pastries we bought."
"The items at Friendship Store are just different."
