Chapter 105 Yang Liu Arrives

After Sang Jiang and her group settled down in the center of Yancheng, Long Jingchen left, and the atmosphere immediately eased without him.

Not only Sang Jiang, but even Sang Ruo became more talkative.

Sang Jiang, holding a cup of tea, looked at Sang Ruo with a slight raise of her phoenix eyes: "Are you that afraid of him?"

"Who is it?" Sang Ruo was slightly taken aback, not knowing for a moment who the "he" Sang Jiang was talking about was.

"Your husband, Long Jingchen?" Sang Jiang rolled her eyes at her and continued, "Where we're from, guys are too busy spoiling girls to care about anything else. How could he be so arrogant and cocky?"

Sang Ruo frowned: "What do you mean 'your place'? Where did you go? What nonsense! Do you know the consequences of insulting the monarch?"

Sang Jiang: ...

He pursed his lips, assuming she hadn't said anything.

Just as Sang Ruo was about to get to the bottom of things, the waiter suddenly knocked on the door: "Sir, there's a Miss Yang outside who claims to be a friend of mine. Would you like to bring her up?"

“Miss Yang?” Sang Ruo frowned and looked at Sang Jiang.

Sang Jiang shook her head. She didn't know any Miss Yang, but since she had come looking for her, it was better to bring her in. What if she was looking for Long Jingchen?

He's a man, after all.

Thinking that Sang Jiang had looked at Sang Ruo and seen her nod, she raised an eyebrow and said, "Let her come up."

Before long, footsteps sounded again at the door, followed by a knock: "The guest has been brought."

Wanqing looked at Sang Ruo and saw her nod, then walked directly to the door and opened it: "Miss Yang?"

"This servant greets you, young lady." Yang Liu bowed respectfully.

Wanqing nodded: "Come in."

Although she had spent many years in the palace with Sang Ruo, and while she wasn't exactly pampered and respected by everyone, she still possessed a certain arrogance. Furthermore, since she didn't know the true identity of this Miss Yang, Wanqing accepted her gift without hesitation.

As soon as Yang Liu stepped inside, Sang Jiang frowned: "It's you? Is there something you need?"

Yang Liu knelt down at Sang Jiang's feet with a "plop." Sang Jiang instinctively stood up to help her up, asking, "What are you doing?"

Yang Liu's almond-shaped eyes instantly filled with tears: "Miss, from now on I belong to you."

Sang Jiang frowned: "No need, didn't I say you can go and live your own life?"

Yang Liu's tears fell to the ground with a "plop": "Miss, I am now all alone. If I continue to stay in Yancheng, I am afraid that sooner or later I will be dragged back by Young Master Li or Young Master Wang or Young Master Lin to be their concubines."

Sang Jiang frowned even more: "What does that have to do with me?"

Yang Liu was stunned, clearly not expecting her to say such a thing: "Miss, since you saved me, please give me a way to live. If you don't take me in, I will either be tortured to death or starve to death, waaaaah!"

As she spoke, she cried even harder, and Sang Jiang felt a headache coming on.

She turned to look at Sang Ruo beside her and sent her a distress signal.

Sang Ruo put down her cup upon receiving the signal: "What's your name?"

"This servant is Yang Liu." She answered quickly, and after answering, she didn't look up but kept her head down and kneeling, her thin body revealing her weakness.

"Don't you have any other relatives? Why don't you go and rely on your relatives?" Sang Ruo's voice was gentle but carried a hint of unquestionable authority, making Yang Liu dare not be careless for a moment.

She lowered her eyes and spoke softly, "This servant has no family left, this servant... this servant..."
