Chapter 121: Recognized

"Hahaha." The man called the Crown Prince laughed heartily: "Prince Huai, don't be nervous, I was just saying that."

Nangong Huai smiled awkwardly, then picked up his wine glass and took a sip.

When I looked down, my eyes were already filled with gloom.

Hearing their conversation, Sang Jiang secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, they hadn't noticed her. She slowly withdrew her feet and stood there, not daring to move.

After a while, she gradually calmed down. She remembered that she had vaguely seen the character "王" (Wang, meaning king) at the door. Combined with the conversation between the two, she figured that this should be the Prince Huai's residence.

Thinking of this, she dared not even breathe loudly. The Prince's mansion was always heavily guarded, and if she were caught now, she would probably be treated as an assassin.

So when Liu's mother said she was going to enjoy life, that's what she meant.

So, does Prince Huai intend to keep her for himself or give her to the Crown Prince? Sang Jiang shook her head. Either way, it's not a good thing. She needs to find a way to leave now.

Just as she took two steps, a cat suddenly darted past her. Sang Jiang was startled and instinctively let out a cry.

"Who!" A cold, clear voice rang out, followed by a beam of icy light.

Sang Jiang hurriedly took a few steps back and narrowly dodged the attack.

She quickly got up and ran outside, shouting, "It's me! It's me!"

King Huai raised his eyes and looked at Sang Jiang with his cold gaze. He was startled when he saw her face.

He thought Liu's mother was just a pretty face, but he never expected her to be such a stunning beauty. He immediately felt a pang of jealousy.

He waved to the guard, signaling him to leave.

Nangong Jin was stunned when he saw Sang Jiang. The reason he was stunned was not because of Sang Jiang's face, but because he did not expect her to be here.

He glanced at Nangong Huai, and from his expression, he knew what Nangong Huai was thinking.

He walked to Sang Jiang's side first and extended a hand to her. Sang Jiang hesitated for a moment, then took his hand and used it to help her stand up.

She had just gotten up when Nangong Jin pulled her forcefully into his arms.

Sang Jiang frowned, disliking Nangong Jin's actions.

Nangong Jin lowered his head and whispered in her ear, "If Fourth Miss wants to leave here, she should cooperate with me."

Sang Jiang was stunned. How did he know who she was?

However, the situation at that moment didn't allow her to think about that too much.

She looked up at Nangong Jin. The man's eyes were very similar to hers, and he also had a captivating smile on his lips, but there was a hint of something unfathomable about him.

She was certain she had never met Nangong Jin.

Someone like him is the kind of person you can't forget after just one glance.

Nangong Jin felt Sang Jiang's gaze and smiled down at her before looking at Nangong Huai, whose face was slightly stiff: "Is this the beauty that Prince Huai prepared for me? I am very satisfied."

As he spoke, he put his arm around Sang Jiang and walked out the door.

Seeing that the two were about to leave the courtyard, Nangong Huai quickly spoke up: "Crown Prince, you may have made a mistake. This is one of my concubines. She just hasn't had a chance to meet me yet and is in a hurry to come to me..."

Nangong Jin waved his hand dismissively after he finished speaking: "It's alright, let's go with her."

Before Nangong Huai could say anything more, he heard Nangong Jin's voice again: "A moment of spring night is worth a thousand pieces of gold. I am really a little reluctant to part with it. It's getting late. Prince Huai should rest early as well."

After saying that, he grabbed Sang Jiang and left without looking back...
