Sang Hongfu waved his hand to stop the people pulling Li Wei.
Seeing this, Li Wei quickly crawled forward a few steps, knelt down in front of Sang Hongfu, hugged his legs, and cried out, "Master, please forgive this servant this time! This servant promises that this servant will never dare to do it again!"
Sang Hongfu ignored him and asked directly, "You said you saved Aunt Yang."
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Li Wei nodded repeatedly.
"When did you save her?" Sang Hongfu frowned.
While clinging to his leg and crying, Li Wei said, "A few days ago, Consort Yang almost miscarried. It was this servant who arrived in time to fetch a doctor. Consort Yang asked this servant a favor. Now, could this servant please forgive this servant, sir?"
He couldn't care less about anything else at this point. He could only bring up Yang Liu first. Even if Yang Liu was considerate of their relationship, she wouldn't betray him. If she did betray him, he would tell the truth, and then everyone would perish together.
Thinking about this, he became even more certain that Yang Liu would definitely help her.
Sang Hongfu pulled out the leg that was holding him and ordered the steward, "Take him with me to confront the concubine."
"Yes," the butler replied, waving to the two guards.
Two guards responded and stepped forward, grabbing Li Wei from the left and right and dragging him toward the willow.
Someone had already secretly reported what was happening here to Yang Liu.
Hearing the growing noise, she lay down, straightened the covers, and pretended to sleep. Only when Sang Hongfu walked in did she slowly open her eyes and groggily ask, "Master, what's wrong? Has it been resolved?"
Sang Hongfu ignored her and simply had someone bring Li Wei in: "Is it true that he saved you?"
Yang Liu looked at Li Wei with a blank expression: "Master, what's this?"
Li Wei was completely stunned when he heard Yang Liu's words. What did she mean? Was she not going to acknowledge him anymore? That wouldn't do; Sang Hongfu would beat him to death.
Thinking this, he stepped forward and knelt down in front of Yang Liu: "Aunt Yang, don't you appreciate this servant? Have you forgotten that your child was saved thanks to this servant? Please tell the master quickly, if it weren't for this servant, where would your child be now!"
His words were all implying to Yang Liu that the child in her womb belonged to them, and that she had no choice but to help him now.
Yang Liu shrank back in fright: "What nonsense are you talking about? I've never even seen you. My child with the master has always been fine. How could you have done anything to help?"
From the moment the maid told her, she made up her mind. She had been worried about not having a chance to get rid of him, but since he had delivered himself to her doorstep, she wouldn't blame him.
Li Wei finally understood why Yang Liu was so adamant about denying it. He spoke up before Sang Hongfu could again: "Aunt Yang, are you sure it was safe before? Are you sure you could have had that child without the servants?"
Because he was somewhat anxious, his voice carried a strong sense of ruthlessness.
Yang Liu was so frightened that she immediately shrank into the blanket: "Master, I'm scared. I don't know what nonsense he's talking about. The doctor said our child is very healthy. I don't know why he's making such a fuss about our child."
Her tone was somewhat agitated, and her eyes began to redden as she spoke.
Sang Hongfu looked at her with concern, walked over to her, and patted her hand: "Don't worry, I'll handle this."
He then waved his hand at the butler and said, "Take him away."
