Chapter 210 Blaming Cuiping

The First Madam ignored her and continued to look at him arrogantly.

Sang Hongfu raised his hand again in anger, but when he saw the look in the First Madam's eyes, he silently lowered his hand.

"You're so foolish!" He pointed at the First Madam with exasperation. "Don't you know how this will affect Yun'er? You think that if you do this to me, the whole Prime Minister's mansion will be better off? What if the Emperor really blames you? Don't you think about the consequences? Even if you don't care about me, you can't ignore Yun'er!"

After saying that, he turned and left with a flick of his sleeve.

He really didn't want to say a single word to the First Madam.

The First Madam glanced at Sang Rui as she watched her leave, but Sang Rui frowned and remained silent.

"Madam! You are so foolish!"

Li's mother rushed in from outside.

She had gone back to her brother's house, but before she could even settle in, she heard the rumors circulating outside, which frightened her so much that she quickly returned.

She only realized after hearing Sang Hongfu's words that the rumor was actually spread by the First Madam herself.

The First Madam saw her as if she had seen her pillar of support: "Mother Li, you're finally back."

She stepped forward to greet Li's mother and pulled her inside.

Seeing this, Sang Rui hesitated for two seconds before following after her.

Standing next to the seated First Madam, Li Mama sighed and said, "Madam, do you know how much your actions will affect Yun-ge'er?"

The First Madam was stunned. She subconsciously asked, "What impact will it have?"

She didn't understand why the person being scolded, Sang Hongfu, would affect her Yun'er.

Madam Li frowned deeply: "Madam, think about it, who is affected if the master gets into trouble? He is the biological father of the Imperial Concubine and Yun-ge'er. How can they not be implicated if something happens to him?"

The First Madam was stunned again; she was too busy being angry to think about anything else.

It was only after Li's mother said that she belatedly realized what was going on.

If something happens to Sang Hongfu, then others will definitely target Sang Ruo and Sang Yun. After realizing this, the First Madam panicked. She looked at Li Mama nervously and asked, "What should I do now?"

Mrs. Li sighed: "Since everyone says that the master favors his concubine over his wife, we should find a way to break this saying."

The First Madam nodded slightly.

"Cuiping!" Her tone suddenly turned sharp when she thought of Cuiping.

Cuiping was startled and immediately knelt on the ground: "Madam, I didn't know it would turn out like this, Madam! I only did it for your own good!"

The First Madam's face darkened, and ignoring what Cuiping said, she directly said, "Guards, drag this little slut away and beat her to death! She dares to scheme against me, she's really tired of living!"

"No! Madam! You must take it! I've served you for so many years, and even if I haven't done anything great, I've still worked hard for you. Madam, please don't take it! I know, I know I was wrong, please forgive me!" Cuiping kowtowed and shouted.

She genuinely wanted to help the First Madam and was truly thinking of her best interests, but she never imagined things would turn out this way.

Li's mother glanced at her and sighed. After all, she had watched her grow up, and she still couldn't bear to part with her.

She knelt down beside Cuiping and looked at the First Madam, saying, "Madam, Cuiping is wrong, but she is only thinking of you. Please forgive her this time."

The First Madam glanced at Li Mama, then at Cuiping, and only opened her eyes after a long while…
