Chapter 225 The princess knows the art of disguise.

It seems there is a little bit...

Sang Jiang shook her head violently.

She was startled by her own thought. She couldn't let her emotions get the better of her. Although Wei Qing had said that he couldn't go back, she didn't believe it. She believed that one day she would definitely find a way to go home.

It would be very troublesome if she had found someone she liked or got married and had children by then.

She had seen many women who were trafficked and then willingly stayed behind because of their children, so she absolutely could not do that.

She has her father, mother, brother, and sister waiting for her at home.

After figuring this out, Sang Jiang secretly clenched her hands hanging at her sides. She glanced firmly at the palace, unsure whether she was trying to persuade herself or to warn herself.

At the palace gate, Eunuch Li watched as the passersby paced back and forth like ants on a hot pan.

The guards looked at him but dared not utter a sound. They knew that something important must have happened to make Eunuch Li so anxious. Thinking this, the guards stood even straighter, afraid that something might happen in their own quarters.

As darkness fell, Eunuch Li grew increasingly anxious. He couldn't imagine what would happen if his ancestor were lost. Then, he spotted a familiar figure, and his eyes widened. He grabbed his robes and ran outside.

The closer he got, the clearer he could see the woman's face. When he saw Sang Jiang, he stopped in his tracks in disappointment: "Which palace are you from? What are you doing back so late?"

Because he had mistaken someone for someone else and hadn't found Sang Jiang, his tone wasn't very friendly.

Sang Jiang frowned, looking at him with a puzzled expression: "Eunuch Li, are you perhaps confused?"

The familiar voice stunned him: "Princess?"

Eunuch Li tentatively called out.

Sang Jiang raised an eyebrow: "What? You don't recognize me after just one day?"

Eunuch Li was stunned for a moment, then his legs went weak and he knelt on the ground, wailing, "Oh my little darling, you're finally back! Do you know how worried the Emperor was about you that he almost fell ill!"

The guards had been keeping an eye on Eunuch Li's movements, and now that he had howled like that, they all looked in their direction.

Seeing the stares directed at her, Sang Jiang awkwardly pulled Eunuch Li aside, saying, "Get up quickly and come with me to see the Emperor."

"Hey, hey, alright!" With the help of two other eunuchs, Eunuch Li stood up. "Hey, my little darling, what happened to your face?"

"Face?" Sang Jiang subconsciously touched her face, only then realizing why Eunuch Li hadn't dared to recognize her earlier.

In order to make it easier to leave the palace in the morning, she put on some makeup and made some simple changes to her facial features. Now, apart from her signature phoenix eyes, she has made some changes to her other features.

Next, Eunuch Li watched as she took out something from her sleeve that looked like a handkerchief but didn't quite resemble one, and rubbed it haphazardly on her face. After that, her appearance returned to normal.

Eunuch Li couldn't help but gasp in astonishment: "Does the princess possess the art of disguise?"

"Disguise? I don't know how." Sang Jiang looked at Eunuch Li's unworldly gaze with amusement: "I'll teach you another day."

"This...this servant would never have learned this...thank you so much, Princess!" After much acquiescence, Eunuch Li readily agreed, fearing that Sang Jiang might change her mind.

"Where is Father now?" Sang Jiang didn't care what he thought. If she didn't show up now, the Emperor might really panic.

"Bright Moon Palace".

As soon as Eunuch Li finished speaking, she led several people directly toward Mingyue Palace.
