Long Tianyi, sitting in a private room with several young masters, listened to the conversation of the people outside, and his face darkened.
Unfortunately, some of those young masters, including some who didn't get along with him, deliberately teased him and made him lose face.
"Your Highness, that's not very kind of you. You're getting married and you haven't even told your brothers."
As soon as he said that, someone immediately chimed in: "Yes, but did the young master really make an appointment with Miss Yun? He dares to snatch even the Eighth Prince's; I admire his audacity."
"Hahaha, does my nephew really regret it?" Prince Long Jingwei, the Fourteenth Prince, teased with a laugh.
He was the youngest son of the late emperor, about the same age as Long Tianyi. He was very close to Long Jingchen but did not care about power, so he was just a leisurely prince until now.
Upon hearing this, Long Tianyi's face darkened even further.
Long Jingwei was about the same age as her, but he was a generation older than her. They grew up together and fought all the time. Whenever something happened, Long Jingwei would always go against him.
He suppressed his anger and smiled, saying, "Of course not. I'll have to invite you to have a few more drinks for my wedding. But you and I are about the same age. Now that I'm getting married, when are you going to find a wife? Those in the know will say you're used to being idle, but those who don't might think you're not good enough."
Long Jingwei didn't seem to care. He still smiled broadly and said, "There's no need for my nephew to worry about that. I'm different from him; I'm a picky eater."
His pointed remark made Long Tianyi's face darken even more. Wasn't he obviously saying that he wasn't picky about food and could eat anyone?
He clenched his fist: "Why don't you tell me what kind of things you like, Uncle? I'll find a few and send them to your residence to quench your thirst."
Long Jingwei smiled and shook his folding fan: "There's no need for that. I can't agree with my nephew's judgment."
"You!" Long Tianyi was speechless with anger.
Seeing him angry only made Long Jingwei feel even more pleased. He waved his folding fan a few times and said with a smile, "I still need to go to the palace to see the Emperor, so I won't keep you company any longer. Please make yourselves at home."
After saying that, he turned around and left, fanning himself with his folding fan.
Leaving behind Long Tianyi and the obviously smug young masters who wanted to laugh but dared not.
Long Tianyi glared at them and then turned and left.
As soon as he left, bursts of laughter echoed from the private room.
Hearing this laughter, Long Tianyi's face darkened even more. He walked out of the teahouse and shouted outside, "Xia Ying!"
Xia Ying had also heard what had just happened, and he immediately stepped forward, saying, "Your Highness."
Long Tianyi gritted his teeth: "Go and find out who leaked this information!"
He clearly didn't tell anyone about this, so how did those people happen to see it, hear it, and then just happen to say it right outside his private room?
This whole series of events just doesn't seem right no matter how you look at it.
If it wasn't intentional, how could it be such a coincidence? If he finds out who it is, he'll never let him off the hook!
