Sang Jiang raised an eyebrow slightly when she saw Kou'er with her head down, looking like she didn't dare to speak. She turned around and went back into the room, with Kou'er following behind her with her head down.
Sang Jiang sat down at the table and looked at her, finding it amusing.
She raised her phoenix eyes slightly and said softly, "Raise your head."
Kou'er froze upon hearing that familiar voice, and suddenly a bold idea came to her.
As soon as the thought came to her mind, she looked up and her eyes welled up with tears when she saw the face she had been longing for day and night.
She stared at Sang Jiang and was stunned. She wanted to go up and hug her, but she was afraid that she had mistaken her for someone else.
She looked at Sang Jiang, hesitated, and softly called out, "Miss?"
Sang Jiang raised an eyebrow: "Absolutely genuine."
Upon hearing this, Kou'er burst into tears and rushed forward to throw herself into Sang Jiang's arms.
Sang Jiang held her and let her cry. When she had cried enough, she pushed her away and deliberately said with a look of disgust, "Ugh, so dirty!"
Seeing her with snot and tears streaming down her face, Kou'er felt a mix of wanting to cry and laugh, and lowered her head, saying, "This servant will wash you!"
“Okay.” Sang Jiang nodded without ceremony. “But before that, go find me some clothes.”
Kou'er excitedly ran to the wardrobe next to her and started picking out clothes for Sang Jiang.
Chunhe couldn't help but feel a little jealous looking at Kou'er.
She had never hugged a princess like that before, but considering how long they had been apart, she held back.
Kou'er took a bathrobe from the closet and gave it to Sang Jiang to change into.
Then she took Sang Jiang to the dressing table and removed her hair ornaments.
When the Emperor summoned her, he instructed her that the Empress's hair ornaments were too heavy and asked her to help remove them first.
After removing the hair accessory, Sang Jiang instantly felt like she had come back to life.
The phoenix crown was pressing down on her neck until it ached, but the thought that it might be a house on her head made her afraid to move. It would be heartbreaking if it really fell off.
She sat down at the table and invited Kou'er and Chunhe to have dinner with her.
Chunhe was a little reserved because of the palace, but when she saw that Kou'er had already sat down next to Sang Jiang, she sat down next to her as well.
After the three of them finished eating and tidied up, Long Jingchen returned from outside.
Today is Sang Jiang's investiture ceremony as a concubine, and he will definitely be there.
As Sang Jiang listened to Yang Qi's singing, she felt inexplicably nervous.
Only then did she belatedly realize that she was already married.
Having lived two lives, she never imagined that she would get married in this virtual world, and the person she married wasn't even the one she liked.
As she listened to the approaching footsteps, she felt her hands covered in beads of sweat.
The wedding night is about to begin...
Although this body isn't hers, it feels like it is.
Did she refuse, or did she refuse?
"Squeak~"
The door was pushed open from the outside.
Sang Jiang sat on the bed with her lips tightly pursed.
As she watched Long Jingchen getting closer and closer, she couldn't help but clench her fists.
Long Jingchen, perhaps sensing her nervousness, waved to the crowd and said, "Go out and collect your rewards."
Chunhe glanced at Sang Jiang and followed Kou'er out.
Sang Jiang felt even more nervous after everyone left.
There were supposed to be a few more steps before the wedding night, but Long Jingchen canceled them because he was afraid she would find it troublesome, and Sang Jiang was happy to have some peace and quiet.
Only after Long Jingchen and the others had all left did he turn his gaze back to Sang Jiang, and he chuckled softly as he looked at her…
