Chapter 378 Couple's Room

The others greeted Hei Lao Er with respect.

Before long, a woman carrying a basket came over. She greeted Hei Lao Er with a smile, then glared at the little girl and said, "Er Ya! Get off quickly! Second Master must be tired after just getting back. Don't bother him."

Er Ya glanced at the woman, stuck out her tongue, and tightened her grip on the second-in-command's neck: "I don't want to!"

The second-in-command chuckled a few times, then took out a few candies from his pocket and handed them to her: "Alright, Er Ya, your second uncle has something to do. You go play first, and your second uncle will play with you later."

Er Ya's face lit up with a smile as she held the candy: "Yay! Thank you, Uncle Er! Uncle Er, will you come swing with me when you're done with your work?"

"Okay." Blackie nodded and put Er Ya down.

After saying that, he led Sang Yun and the other person towards the front hall.

As soon as he entered, he ordered his men to close the door: "Speak! Why did you come to my Black Wind Mountain?"

Sang Yun was about to say that he was a refugee when the gang leader interrupted him: "Your wife's attire doesn't look like that of a refugee."

Sang Yun: ...

He chuckled softly, "As expected, nothing can escape your discerning eyes, Second Master."

The second brother raised his head, a smug look on his face: "Tell me, what exactly do you want?"

Sang Yun lowered his eyes: "Actually, I used to be a member of the Imperial Guard. During a march, someone else took credit for me first, and I was almost silenced. I had no choice but to escape with my wife."

As he spoke, he turned his back, and a faint sadness suddenly filled his whole being.

Upon hearing this, Hei Lao Er seemed to have thought of something. His hands, which were on either side of the chair, suddenly clenched, and his gaze towards Sang Yun softened considerably.

He quickly suppressed his own thoughts and looked at Sang Yun, asking, "How can you prove this?"

Sang Yun pursed her lips, took out a waist token from her bosom, and handed it to Hei Lao Er.

Hei Lao Er glanced at the waist token a few times and then gripped it tightly. Sang Yun carefully observed his expression.

It took the second brother a while to come to his senses. He handed the waist token to Sang Yun and asked her, "Do you want Liu Yun?"

Sang Yun nodded: "Yes."

"Alright, I understand. You can stay here for now. I'll help you figure out a way to deal with the hunting down of you." After saying that, he looked at a man next to him: "Go and have Aunt Wang prepare a house for them."

The man nodded, glanced at Sang Yun, and walked out.

Hei Lao Er then pulled him aside and asked him a lot more about the Imperial Guards, which Sang Yun answered one by one. Only then did the wariness in his eyes gradually subside.

He looked at Sang Yun and said, "It's getting late. You and your wife should go and rest. Starting tomorrow, you will come with me to patrol the mountains, and your wife will go with Sister Wang to weave cloth."

Sang Yun looked at him and nodded: "Thank you, Second Master."

After saying that, he and Yang Mu'an followed behind Wang Sao and walked out.

When they arrived at the room, the two were dumbfounded.

The room wasn't particularly big; it only had a table, four chairs, and a bed.

Aunt Wang was older, and she could tell that the two must have been people of high status. She smiled and said, "Young master, madam, this is all the accommodations we have on the mountain. This is our couple's room. Once you have a child, you can upgrade to a triple room."

Yang Mu'an looked at the bed and couldn't help but feel speechless.

Sang Yun pulled her along, looked at Wang Sao with a smile, and said, "Thank you so much, Wang Sao. My husband and I were just fleeing from disaster, and we are already very grateful to have such a good place to go..."
