"Alright, alright!" Black Second waved his hand impatiently. "Let's search in batches now. After all, she's a woman. It wouldn't be good if something happened to her."
"Alright, alright, let's go."
Everyone had just fallen asleep when they were woken up, and their expressions weren't particularly good.
After everyone dispersed, Sang Yun followed Hei Lao Er down the mountain.
As they walked, the second brother asked, "Sixth brother, did your wife show any unusual behavior before she disappeared?"
"No!" Sang Yun shook her head without even thinking.
She and Yang Mu'an went home together last night. She had drunk quite a bit and he had to carry her home. After they got home, she clung to his waist and made a fuss for a while before finally falling asleep.
What's wrong?
The third leader glanced at him and comforted him, "Sixth brother, don't worry. Maybe your wife just got lost by accident. We'll bring her back when the brothers come back."
The group searched from afternoon until night, turning the entire mountain upside down, but they still couldn't find Yang Mu'an. Even the most oblivious among them could guess that something must have happened.
...
Meanwhile, at Qinglong Village.
After Yang Mu'an finished eating, Qingying put her in a room. At first, she tried to find a way to escape, but she gave up when she found out where she was.
Not to mention the few strong men guarding her, she couldn't possibly walk out of the bamboo forest at the foot of the mountain by herself. If something were to happen to her, it would be a huge loss.
She sat on the edge of the bed, thinking about how to contact Sang Yun. The discomfort from the hangover made her slowly fall into a deep sleep.
Qingying could tell from the torches on the opposite mountain that the other side must know that Yang Mu'an was gone. She raised an eyebrow at the strategist beside her, held a letter between her index and middle fingers, and said with a smile, "Go and deliver this letter to Liu."
The strategist nodded and took the envelope from her hand: "I'll go right away."
After saying that, he hurriedly took the letter and ran down the mountain. At the foot of the mountain, he threw the envelope with his inner force at one of the guards of Black Wind Mountain.
The envelope made a soft "whoosh" as it passed through the air, and finally landed firmly on a tree.
The guard at Black Wind Mountain immediately became alert. He looked around and shouted, "Who's there! Come out!"
His response was one of tranquility.
Once he was sure no one was around, he turned to look at the envelope behind him. When he saw the words on it, his face darkened, and he immediately turned and ran up the mountain.
By now, most of the brothers who were looking for Yang Mu'an had already gone up and down the mountain and come back to check.
Sang Yun sat in his chair with a serious expression, waiting for the last group. All his hopes were now pinned on the last group.
If the last group doesn't find Yang Mu'an when they return, then something really might have happened to her.
The guards at the foot of the mountain ran extremely fast. Upon hearing the hurried footsteps, Sang Yun immediately got up and walked outside, bumping into the guards who were running inside.
The guard was startled and quickly took two steps back, repeatedly saying, "I'm sorry."
Sang Yun grabbed his arm, looked at him, and asked in a deep voice, "Is there any news about Mu An?"
The guard shrank back, intimidated by his gaze, and stammered as he took the envelope from his hand: "Um... Sixth Brother, your letter..."
Almost as soon as he finished speaking, Sang Yun snatched the envelope from his hand...
