Chapter 430 Why Did I Have to Fall in Love with Him?

After getting dressed, Sang Jiang and Kou'er secretly slipped out together.

She frowned as she looked at Yun Siqing from afar, then looked at Kou'er and said softly, "Shouldn't this engagement be a happy occasion? Why does Princess Yun look so melancholy?"

Following her words, Kou'er also looked up at Yun Siqing and shook her head: "This, this servant doesn't know either. Could it be that Princess Yun doesn't like the Eighth Prince anymore?"

After saying that, she shook her head: "That shouldn't be the case. She has rejected so many men over the years and claimed that she must marry someone she already has in mind, and it's obviously the Eighth Prince."

Sang Jiang frowned as well, and after a while she looked at Kou'er with a sly smile and said, "Why don't we go take a look?"

As he spoke, he stretched out his hand and made a walking gesture.

"This...isn't that a bit inappropriate..." Although Kou'er said it wasn't appropriate, the expectant look on her face had already betrayed her.

"It's nothing, let's go." Sang Jiang could easily see what she meant, so she reached out and pulled Kou'er outside.

The two bypassed the palace servants and slowly made their way to the back of Chengshun Hall.

Just then, Long Jingchen and Long Jingyu were chatting. She was about to pull Kou'er away when she heard what Long Jingyu said.

"Your Majesty, have you forgotten why you married Jiang Jiang?"

Sang Jiang stopped in her tracks as she was about to leave.

Long Jingchen glanced at Long Jingyu and unconsciously tightened his grip on the cup in his hand, but still remembered to reply, "Of course I remember."

"When does Your Majesty plan to make your move?" Long Jingyu looked at him and continued, "Jiang Jiang has probably already fallen in love with you. If we delay any longer..."

"I will make the arrangements myself!" Long Jingchen interrupted him directly.

"Your Majesty had better remember your words." Long Jingyu nodded and smiled gently.

Sang Jiang seemed to have lost her soul. She slowly turned around and walked outside, and Kou'er quickly followed her.

After the two left, Kou'er looked at Sang Jiang and said, "Miss... there might be some misunderstanding..."

Sang Jiang shook her head: "Don't speak yet, let me have some peace and quiet."

Kou'er glanced at her and silently shut her mouth.

As Sang Jiang walked along, lost in thought, she unexpectedly bumped into someone.

Wei Qing grabbed her as she nearly fell, frowning as he asked, "Jiang Jiang, what are you doing?"

Sang Jiang snapped out of her daze and looked at Wei Qing: "It's nothing."

After saying that, she simply walked around him and continued forward.

Wei Qing pulled Kou'er back, but Kou'er shook her head at him.

He pursed his lips, turned around, and walked out of the palace.

That night.

Sang Jiang really couldn't understand why Long Jingchen would marry her and make her fall in love with him.

She had always known that kings were ruthless, but Long Jingchen's kindness to her made her think that there were exceptions to everything. It wasn't until she heard his words today that she realized she had been thinking too simply.

Annoyed by the knocking, she yelled, "Get out! I don't want to see anyone today!"

Kou'er glanced at Long Jingchen with a troubled expression.

Long Jingchen was about to climb in through the window when Kou'er stopped him.

Kou'er pursed her lips and said softly, "Your Majesty, perhaps you should go back first..."

Long Jingchen looked at her, then turned to look at the tightly closed door of the room. After a long while, he finally nodded. He called out to the room, "Jiang Jiang, I don't know why you're suddenly like this. It's okay, I'll wait for you, until you tell me the reason."
