Chapter 11 A Foul-Smelling Home, and Wicked Parents

“If it weren’t for my grandmother raising me, I would have died long ago. You don’t deserve to be a father or a son. For the sake of so-called dignity, you have let her down,” Zhuang Yan said, enunciating each word clearly.

When his grandmother was mentioned, a rare look of guilt and regret flashed in Zhuang Zhongming's eyes.

Zhuang Yan turned and left without hesitation. Song Lu breathed a sigh of relief when he saw him come out unharmed, and asked in a low voice, "Did you sign the document? He didn't make things difficult for you, did he?"

"Signed." Zhuang Yan handed over the agreement.

Song Lu carefully checked it over and, after confirming that there were no problems, carefully put it away.

From this day forward, as Zhuang Yan walks out of this door and leaves this home, he officially severs ties with Zhuang Zhongming and the others, and relinquishes his right to inherit the Zhuang family business.

Tang Jing seemed to have a premonition that Zhuang Yan was going to leave. She rushed out of the bedroom, ignoring the maid's attempts to stop her, and screamed, "Zhuang Yan, you are not allowed to leave! You are my son, I gave birth to you, you have to take responsibility for me, and atone for your sister's death. You are not allowed to leave here." Because once he left, she would be the one to bear the guilt, and she could not bear that burden.

Zhuang Yan remained unmoved, letting Tang Jing utter those vicious words. Having not heard them for many years, he treated them as musical notes.

He is no longer the Zhuang Yan who could be easily brainwashed. He has awakened and will no longer be a tool.

When Tang Jing went berserk, she lost her usual dignity and nobility. No one would pity her because she was the abuser.

Everyone in the villa had a numb expression, as if they were used to such things.

Tang Jing wouldn't allow her son to escape her control, so she resorted to her old tricks, calling out the name of her deceased daughter.

“Xiao Ke, Mom knows you’re still at home. Your brother killed you, and now he wants to run away and abandon Mom and Dad. He’s a beast.”

Everyone in the family knows that as long as Tang Jing calls out to Xiao Ke, Zhuang Yan has to give in and kneel down to admit his mistake.

Feeling guilty, Zhuang Yan listened to Tang Jing, but today, no matter how much Tang Jing cried, made a fuss, or shouted, he watched indifferently.

Seeing Tang Jing acting strangely, Zhuang Yan curled his thin lips and pointed behind her, saying, "Don't call her 'little sister,' she's right on your shoulder smiling at you."

The enraged and frenzied Tang Jing suddenly calmed down, her face visibly turning deathly pale, and the fear in her eyes was also visible.

So, she can be afraid too.

Having exhausted all her tricks, Tang Jing realized that Zhuang Yan was no longer under her control as usual, and she began to scream.

This time they've really gone mad.

People who pretend to be crazy will eventually really go crazy. This perfectly describes Tang Jing. The shrill, broken voice echoed in the living room. She collapsed to the ground, grabbing and tearing at her hair.

Song Lu grabbed Zhuang Yan and pulled him back until they reached a safe distance before stopping.
