"Sisi, come inside quickly, it's cold, don't catch a cold," Xiao Yi said to Nan Wusi.
"What time are you leaving tomorrow? I'll come to see you off," Nan Wusi said sullenly, holding Xiao Yi in her arms.
"It's too early, you don't need to come to see me off, get some more sleep." Xiao Yi smoothed the stray hairs on Nan Wusi's forehead.
"But I can't bear to part with you," Nan Wusi said coquettishly.
"I'm also reluctant to part with you." Xiao Yi's heart was also filled with reluctance, but he had things he had to do, and the reason he didn't let Nan Wusi come to see him off was because he was afraid that he would be reluctant to leave.
He should have set off much earlier; he had squeezed out time for today, but the price was that he had to keep traveling.
"Let's go in quickly," Xiao Yi urged again. He felt that if he continued to hug her, he would lose control and wouldn't want to leave.
"Hmm." Nan Wusi nodded sullenly and left Xiao Yi's warm embrace.
However, just as Nan Wusi turned around, Xiao Yi suddenly called out, "Sisi."
Nan Wusi turned around with a puzzled look, but Xiao Yi hugged her tightly again and then placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Take care of yourself." Xiao Yi's voice was a little hoarse.
"Okay, you too. Remember to change your colored contact lenses, okay?" Nan Wusi reminded her again.
"Okay, I've got it." Xiao Yi smiled and released Nan Wusi.
"Then I'll go in."
"Go."
Nan Wusi looked back every few steps, and finally ran into the mansion, locking himself in his room.
Xiao Yi stood at the door for a long time before leaving alone.
The next day, when Nan Wusi was woken up by Qin Ran, it was already broad daylight.
Nan Wusi sat on the bed for a long time before she recovered. She didn't know when they would see each other again after this separation. Xiao Yi had only just left, and she already missed him.
While having breakfast with Jiang Zhirou, Nan Wusi seemed absent-minded, which made Jiang Zhirou feel quite sorry for him.
"Has Prince Yi already left?" Jiang Zhirou asked.
"Mm." Nan Wusi nodded.
"And you, when are you planning to return to the capital?" Jiang Zhirou thought that Xiao Yi had gone back to the capital, and that her precious daughter had chosen to stay behind to keep them company.
"Let's play a little longer." Nan Wusi didn't specify how long she wanted to stay, because she herself didn't know.
"Are you going to see Xinxi today?" Jiang Zhirou asked.
"Go, you should have gone a long time ago." It's strange, though. Although she knew Ouyang Xinxi had been in the mansion these past few days, the two of them hadn't even exchanged a glance.
"Mother, is Xinxi alright now?" Nan Wusi was a little worried about Ouyang Xinxi's mental state after reading the letter last time.
"She's doing quite well, it's just that she doesn't like to go out much. She and your older brother got married a few days ago, so you should start calling her sister-in-law now," Jiang Zhirou said with a smile. She also cherished her daughter-in-law, Ouyang Xinxi.
Such a lovely young woman, yet she suffered so much for her eldest son. Even she, an outsider, was shocked when she learned of Xinxi's experiences, wondering how the child had endured it all.
"What? Big brother and Xinxi are already married? Why didn't they tell us?" Nan Wusi was stunned. They moved so fast, and there wasn't even a sound from them.
"Oh dear, look at my memory." Jiang Zhirou slapped her forehead and said, "I've already written a letter about this, but it shouldn't arrive in the capital for the next few days, so you don't know yet. I thought you already knew."
“This marriage was indeed a bit rushed, but it was their own idea. They didn’t want a grand wedding, so your father and I went along with it,” Jiang Zhirou continued.
After hearing this, Nan Wusi fell silent. Now her elder brother and Xinxi were finally a couple, but Xinxi had suffered too much injustice. Her feelings were complicated.
After finishing his breakfast, Nan Wusi went to the courtyard where Ouyang Xinxi lived.
This courtyard is in a somewhat remote location, but the environment is quiet and well-maintained.
At that moment, Ouyang Xinxi was sunbathing in the courtyard.
"Xinxi!" Nan Wusi shouted and rushed over, intending to hug Ouyang Xinxi.
However, to everyone's surprise, Ouyang Xinxi took a step back and dodged when she saw Nan Wusi.
Feeling a little disappointed after her search ended in failure, Nan Wusi looked at Ouyang Xinxi and found her smiling.
"Sisi, why have you become so impulsive these days?" Ouyang Xinxi said with a smile.
"Hehe, I'm just a little excited because I haven't seen you in so long." Nan Wusi noticed the long and deep scar on Ouyang Xinxi's face and tried his best to maintain his expression so as not to look too bad and upset Ouyang Xinxi.
Ouyang Xinxi seemed to sense Nan Wusi's helplessness, so she took a step forward and came to Nan Wusi's side.
"Sisi, I'm taking a step back not because I don't miss you, but because I'm pregnant."
Ouyang Xinxi's words exploded in Nan Wusi's ears, leaving her momentarily speechless. "You're pregnant?"
"Mmm." Ouyang Xinxi nodded, a happy smile on her face.
"That's wonderful, Xinxi." Nan Wusi saw that Ouyang Xinxi's face seemed to be shining with maternal radiance.
It seems that she has resolved a lot of her inner conflicts during this period, and she is not as gloomy as mentioned in the letter. Her eldest brother must have played a significant role in this.
"Did you tell your elder brother about this?" Nan Wusi asked.
“Wu Feng hasn’t returned to the manor for some time, so we haven’t had a chance to tell him yet, and even Mother doesn’t know yet,” Ouyang Xinxi replied.
