Chapter 82 Selecting Cloth

After hearing what Tiger's mother said, Nanwu thought it made sense.

The supply is currently insufficient, so Lan Yi Fang will soon be sold out and will have to close down again. Even if we hire more people, they won't be able to work for more than a few days.

So Nanwu thought about it and decided against it; she'd better wait a little longer. However, she still needed to entrust some matters to Huzi's mother so that she would have more time to do other things.

"Sister Fang, come with me to the fabric shop tomorrow to choose fabrics." Nan Wusi planned to hand over all the affairs of Lan Yi Fang to Hu Zi's mother from now on, so that she could save herself a lot of trouble.

"Okay." Tiger's mother said, handing Nan Wusi a cup of tea.

After a long afternoon of running around, Nan Wusi was indeed quite thirsty.

However, when she touched Tiger's mother's hand, she felt a chill.

"Sister Fang, why are your hands so cold?" As soon as Nan Wusi asked, he saw Hu Zi's mother pull her hand back.

Nan Wusi quickly grabbed Hu Zi's mother's hand and found that it was covered with tiny wounds, clearly cracked from the cold.

It was only then that Nanwu Sicai suddenly realized that it was already deep winter. Ever since she started practicing martial arts, she had always felt warm all over, so she hadn't noticed at all that the weather had become so cold.

She clearly knew that the New Year was approaching, so how come she didn't notice the change in the weather?

"Sister Fang, it's already winter, why are you still dressed so thinly?" Nan Wusi noticed that Hu Zi's mother was still wearing the clothes she had prepared for her when she opened her business.

"I'll wear a few more layers," Tiger's mother said softly.

"Why aren't you wearing a cotton coat?" Nan Wusi felt a sense of suffocation upon hearing this.

"Only these clothes are worthy of the shopkeeper's status, and besides, there's only time to make cotton clothes for Tiger." Tiger's mother lowered her head and looked at the ground, not daring to look directly into Nan Wusi's eyes.

"Sigh." Nan Wusi sighed. "I've been paying you on time every day, why don't you buy yourself some clothes? What if you catch a cold and get sick? Have you forgotten that you couldn't get out of bed because of a cold?"

"I'll go buy it tomorrow," Tiger's mother said hurriedly, afraid that Nan Wusi would be angry about it.

"You should go back early today, so you don't catch a cold," Nan Wusi urged.

"Okay." Tiger's mother replied and didn't linger any longer, quickly heading home.

Nan Wusi looked at Ye Zi, who had already changed into a cotton-padded coat, and said, "Ye Zi, you've already changed into a cotton-padded coat, aren't you going to remind your young lady?"

“Miss, but you only wear it on the coldest days in previous years, so I didn’t remind you.” Ye Zi was also a little aggrieved. In previous years, she would be annoyed when she reminded her mistress, but she didn’t expect that she would still be scolded this year even though she didn’t remind her.

"Alright." Nan Wusi sighed, she hadn't expected the original owner of this body to be so formidable. Her physical abilities were truly remarkable.

"Let's go, we should head back too."

"Okay, miss." Ye Zi deftly went to close the shop door.

The next day, Nan Wusi arrived at Lan Yi Fang with a cotton-padded coat, and sure enough, Hu Zi's mother was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday.

"Sister Fang, go and change into this." This was a cotton-padded coat that Nan Wusi had managed to get from her grandmother's second maid after searching the entire mansion yesterday. It had taken her quite a bit of effort.

Nan Wusi originally planned to redeem the cotton-padded coat directly in the system shop, but she found that there were no nice-looking ones in the system shop, and they all looked drab and dull.

The nicer winter clothes were all made of fur and looked very luxurious. Even if she gave them to Tiger's mother, she probably wouldn't accept them given her personality.

"Thank you very much, sir." Tiger's mother silently accepted the gift, keeping all of Nan Wusi's kindness in her heart.

After Tiger's mother changed into her new clothes, the group went to the fabric shop together.

The first place they arrived at was Chen's Cloth Shop, where Manager Chen had been eagerly waiting.

"Manager Nan, you've finally arrived!" Manager Chen greeted Nan Wusi warmly as soon as he saw him.

"Manager Chen, let's go straight to the goods." Nan Wusi smiled and nodded as a greeting. She had to visit many shops today, so she didn't intend to waste time with small talk.

"Good, Manager Nan is a straightforward person." Manager Chen immediately brought out all kinds of fabrics at various price points in the shop for Nan Wusi to choose from.

"Manager Chen, is all your goods here?" Nan Wusi took a liking to some of the patterns, but she didn't know how many of the same fabrics were available, since she couldn't possibly make only one or two pieces of each pattern and style.

"We have plenty of fabrics in stock; it just depends on which one Manager Nan chooses." Manager Chen immediately understood.

"Can you still supply these fabrics continuously?" Nan Wusi then asked.

"If Manager Nan wants it, of course it is." Manager Chen nodded, after all, it's better to do business in the long term.

"Do you have any tightly woven, durable fabric?" Nan Wusi suddenly asked.

"Manager Nan, you've come to the right person. I just received some new fabrics, but the quantity is very small. You can take a look first." Manager Chen immediately went to get them for Nan Wusi to see.

Nan Wusi held it in his hand, felt it over, and then looked at it and thought it was pretty good, so he asked, "How much of this fabric do you have left?"

"Because it's new cloth, I didn't dare to order too much; I only have two bolts," Manager Chen replied.

"When can we get more stock next time?" Nan Wusi asked, as she had a great use for the cloth.

"That depends on how much you need."

"Around fifty horses." Nanwu thought for a moment and felt that should be about right.

"That will take at least another half month," Manager Chen thought for a moment.

“Okay, go ahead and place the order,” Nan Wusi said.

After the two agreed on the price, Nan Wusi paid the deposit and went to the next store.

Shopkeeper Chen's prices were quite reasonable, so Nan Wusi didn't haggle, and the deal went very smoothly.

However, after visiting several shops, Nan Wusi found that some shop owners were honest and offered reasonable prices, but there were also some who directly quoted prices higher than the market price.

Nan Wusi's face immediately turned cold. She hadn't expected that someone would still be so greedy and try to gain improper benefits under such circumstances. Did they really think she was a fool?

Nan Wusi originally planned to turn around and leave, but unexpectedly, Tiger's mother showed her rather fierce side at this time, bargaining the price until the shopkeeper had no temper left, which amazed Nan Wusi and Ye Zi.

However, after the price was agreed upon, Nan Wusi and the others left the shop, and Hu Zi Niang returned to her usual gentle demeanor.

Nan Wusi thought to himself that he really couldn't underestimate anyone; who knows, such an unexpected surprise might appear one day.

Ye Zi, on the other hand, joked more directly with Hu Zi's mother, saying that she had finally witnessed her fierce side.

"These kinds of unscrupulous merchants shouldn't be tolerated. This is the only way I can help my boss." Tiger's mother became shy at this moment, feeling that her behavior just now seemed to have been too fierce.
