Chapter Forty-Eight Song Jingxue

Today, Namo Si's Dream Clothing Shop welcomed its second customer.

On the opening day, Miss Song was the second person to receive a customized order, following Madam An.

This Miss Song, named Rong Jingxue, was the daughter of the Grand Tutor of the current dynasty. In the original story, she married the Seventh Prince, so her final fate was also death.

This Miss Song is not only from a good family, but also a woman of exceptional talent and beauty. No wonder she was able to marry the Seventh Prince. However, the ending in the original story is truly regrettable. Knowing all this, Nan Wusi is now unsure how to face Miss Song. Even though the two haven't had much contact yet, she can sense that Miss Song is a true lady of high birth, with excellent upbringing.

"Greetings, Manager Nan. I'll be troubling you today." Song Jingxue was gentle and polite, still wearing the pale yellow dress she had bought from Mengyifang last time.

"Welcome, Miss Song, it's all I should do." After exchanging pleasantries, Nan Wusi invited her to her private chair.

Tiger's mother served tea to both of them. Miss Song accepted the tea and whispered a thank you, which made Tiger's mother feel very flattered.

Nan Wusi sat down opposite Song Jingxue, took out his notebook, and asked, "Miss Song, which three colors do you like?"

Without hesitation, Song Jingxue replied, "I like yellow the most, then cyan, and finally pink."

"So what type of ready-to-wear clothing do you want?" Nan Wusi then asked.

“My mother thinks I’m too quiet, so I hope to choose an outfit that makes me look brighter and more energetic,” Song Jingxue said with a faint smile.

"Would the lady prefer a dress or a jacket and skirt? Are there any other requirements regarding the style?"

"Anything is fine. There are no other requirements." Song Jingxue shook her head.

“Okay, please come to the inner room so I can take your measurements.” Nan Wusi nodded with a smile.

Nan Wusi quickly took Song Jingxue's measurements and asked her to come back in a week to try it on. Song Jingxue didn't say anything and left after taking her measurements.

"Miss Song's personality is indeed too quiet." Nan Wusi sighed. It's really not easy to make a quiet person look lively through clothes.

"Wu Si, are you in the shop?" Ouyang Xinxi's voice suddenly came from the doorway.

"Xinxi, what brings you here?" Nan Wusi was pleasantly surprised and quickly walked out from inside.

"Of course I came to see you! I love the clothes you gave me. Do I look good in them?" Ouyang Xinxi twirled around excitedly.

"It definitely has to look good." Nan Wusi was also infected by Ouyang Xinxi's energy.

"Hehe, I knew it." Ouyang Xinxi pulled Nan Wusi down to sit.

"By the way, how is your grandmother's condition?" Nan Wusi asked. Ouyang Xinxi left in a hurry, and they didn't have a chance to sit down and chat last time they met.

“Grandmother’s condition has stabilized. The family physician said that Grandmother’s severe symptoms were caused by catching a cold at night and her advanced age. After these days of treatment, her health has improved a lot.” Ouyang Xinxi explained when Nan Wusi asked.

“But I have a feeling this is not simple. Now that Grandmother is sick, the power to manage all the affairs of the household has fallen into the hands of Second Aunt. I’ve been so bored at home these days.” Ouyang Xinxi leaned closer to Nan Wusi and whispered her guess.

"Have you gone to look for evidence?" Nan Wusi dared not make a conclusion about such a matter casually.

"I searched, but couldn't find it." Ouyang Xinxi still felt too weak and inadequate.

"Yes, you have to be careful," Nan Wusi cautioned, fearing that this lively and adorable little girl might follow the same path as the original story.

"Miss Ouyang." Tiger's mother came out from the inner room and saw Ouyang Xinxi.

"Oh, Tiger's mother, what are you doing here?" Ouyang Xinxi was somewhat surprised to see Tiger's mother here.

"It was Manager Nan who gave me the job at the shop," Tiger's mother said with a smile.

"I see. Wu Si really has a way." Ouyang Xinxi admired Nan Wu Si very much. He was capable and kind, and he was a role model for her to learn from.

"By the way, Wusi," Ouyang Xinxi asked somewhat awkwardly, "I left in a hurry last time, how did you guys have fun afterwards?"

"Xinxi, it was such a pity you left last time. Do you know about the Red Maple Villa on Red Maple Mountain? It even has hot springs where you can soak." Nan Wusi felt quite regretful that Ouyang Xinxi hadn't experienced such a wonderful hot spring. "When can we go together again?"

“But I can’t stay away from home for too long.” Ouyang Xinxi also wanted to go, and her expression was somewhat gloomy.

"Oh right." Nan Wusi suddenly remembered that not every family in this dynasty was as open-minded as her parents. Girls were subject to curfews when they came home. What a wicked feudal society.

"Wu Si, when can we invite Brother Nan and the others out to play again?" Ouyang Xinxi asked, her face slightly flushed.

Upon hearing this, Nan Wusi smiled with pursed lips, staring at Ouyang Xinxi until her face went from slightly red to bright red, even her ears turned completely red.

"Oh dear, Wusi, don't look at me like that." Ouyang Xinxi couldn't stand Nan Wusi's gaze any longer and covered her face shyly as she spoke.

"Haha, Xinxi, you're so cute. Don't worry, I'll arrange for you to meet my older brother this afternoon, how about it?" Nan Wusi laughed loudly.

"Really?" Ouyang Xinxi immediately looked up when she heard that she would be meeting Nan Wufeng that afternoon.

"Of course it's true. When have I ever lied to you?" Nan Wusi nodded, then immediately asked Ye Zi to invite his older brother out to play.
