Chapter 466 The Source of Terror

Chapter 465 The Source of Terror

The old man's expression suddenly turned serious: "Just say I'm not feeling well! Let him go back!"

The girl's stiff body immediately relaxed and she felt a little relieved.

After breakfast, she said goodbye and went back to her room. As soon as she entered the room, she covered her mouth and burst into tears.

Why did you come? Why can't you let her go?

Isn't it good for us to just live in peace?

Song Shuran suddenly felt a little stuffy in the room and a little breathless. She walked to the balcony and breathed in big gulps of fresh air. Her lungs immediately felt refreshed.

She looked up at the iron gate. The other side of the iron gate was the source of her fear. There was a hint of fear in the girl's eyes. She didn't expect that the man would find her in just one night. However, she still felt a little relieved in her heart. Fortunately, she had someone to support her now. This was the Xie family, and Lu Jinghuai would not do anything wrong.

Suddenly, the iron gate opened and Song Shuran's face turned pale.

She was so scared that she took a step back and squatted under the railing to hide herself.

Why let him in, why?

The fear in the girl's eyes gradually grew. She squatted stiffly, her eyes unconsciously looking towards the door. Suddenly, the man raised his eyes to look at her, and their gazes met.

Song Shuran was so scared that she ran away. It was obvious that he couldn't see her at all, but the glance just now made Song Shuran feel that he had discovered that she was hiding there.

Lu Jinghuai followed the housekeeper in. For some reason, he suddenly felt a familiar gaze coming from the second floor. He raised his eyes, and although he only saw a figure, he knew who it was.

The man raised his lips to smile, then retracted his gaze and strode into the villa.

Song Shuran opened the door of the room carefully. When she saw the housekeeper taking Lu Jinghuai to the study, her heart was tense. What should she do?

Are we just going to sit here and wait for the verdict?

To be honest, she didn't trust the Xie family at all, and she came here because she had no other choice.

After the housekeeper left, Song Shuran walked quietly towards the study. As soon as she entered, she heard the conversation between two people coming from inside.

"I heard that my nephew wants to see me for something."

"Lu is here to take my wife home!"

Upon hearing this, Old Master Xie was stunned for half a second, then burst into laughter and said, "My dear nephew, you are really good at joking. How could Madam Lu be in my house, Old Master Xie? Wouldn't it be a joke if we told others about this?"

"Are you kidding me, old man? You should know better than me!"

Mr. Xie smiled kindly, "Nephew Lu, this is serious. I really don't know what you are talking about."

Lu Jinghuai remained calm. He chuckled, picked up the tea the butler had just brought over, slowly and methodically brought it to his lips and took a sip. He then placed the teacup back on the table and said calmly, "I heard that the old man has an heir waiting to save his life, right?"

Upon hearing this, Mr. Xie's expression suddenly changed, but he quickly concealed it and said with a smile, "Yes, my son is not in good health and is in the hospital for treatment."

Lu Jinghuai didn't say anything. He stood up from the sofa, adjusted his suit, and said calmly, "Tell Shushu I'll pick her up in a couple of days. She's finally here as a guest at Grandpa's house, so she really needs to play for a few days!"

As he spoke, he walked towards the door. Song Shuran, who was standing at the door, was shocked when she heard what Lu Jinghuai said. If Lu Jinghuai's footsteps had not reminded her, she would have forgotten to leave and was caught by Lu Jinghuai.

She quickly ran back to her room and slammed the door shut, Lu Jinghuai's words still echoing in her ears.

Why did Xie Qi tell her that she was the only heir of the Xie family, and she had never heard that her father had a son?

Song Shuran felt very uneasy. She felt that this was not a place that could protect her and she needed to find a way to leave.

When Lu Jinghuai heard the sound of the door closing, he looked towards the end of the corridor, a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, and he walked towards Song Shuran's room step by step.
