Chapter 101 New Year's Trip

In the New Year of 2012, Wang Yitong accepted Xu Chengwei's invitation to visit Qingdao with a feeling of both anticipation and nervousness. The two had been together for some time.

Wang Yitong and Xu Chengwei embarked on a journey to Qingdao. Xu Chengwei's hometown is in Qingdao, and he had always wanted to take Wang Yitong to see this beautiful coastal city. On the way to Qingdao, Wang Yitong kept thinking about Xu Chengwei's family. She hoped they were kind and open-minded people who would not let her experience the embarrassment and unpleasantness she had faced with Zhao Yunhao's parents again.

When they arrived at Xu Chengwei's home, Wang Yitong took a deep breath nervously. Xu Chengwei's parents greeted them warmly, and their smiles and greetings made Wang Yitong gradually relax.

During their time together, Wang Yitong discovered that Xu Chengwei's parents were truly different. They respected their son's choices and were full of love and care for Wang Yitong. They chatted and ate together, spending a happy New Year holiday.

They took the high-speed rail to Qingdao and were greeted by the sea breeze as soon as they exited the station. Xu Chengwei took Wang Yitong to a seafood restaurant, where they sampled local specialties like spicy stir-fried clams, steamed oysters, and braised prawns. Wang Yitong ate with gusto and praised Qingdao's delicious seafood.

After dinner, Xu Chengwei took Wang Yitong to May Fourth Square, one of Qingdao's landmarks. A massive torch sculpture stands in the square, symbolizing the spirit of the May Fourth Movement. Xu Chengwei explained the historical background and significance of the May Fourth Movement to Wang Yitong, helping her gain a deeper understanding of the city's cultural heritage.

Next, they arrived at the beach. Wang Yitong was thrilled to see the ocean for the first time. She took off her shoes and ran on the beach, feeling the waves crashing against her. Xu Chengwei took photos of her, capturing this beautiful moment.

In the evening, Xu Chengwei took Wang Yitong to a seaside bar. They sat in the open-air seats, admiring the beautiful sea view, listening to beautiful music, and enjoying the romantic atmosphere. Xu Chengwei ordered a cocktail, and Wang Yitong chose a glass of juice. They drank and chatted, spending a pleasant evening.

The next day, Xu Chengwei took Wang Yitong to Laoshan, one of Qingdao's most famous scenic spots, boasting beautiful natural scenery and a rich history. They took a cable car to the top of the mountain, overlooking the entire city of Qingdao and the sea. Wang Yitong exclaimed, "It's so beautiful here!"

In the afternoon, Xu Chengwei and Wang Yitong visited the Tsingtao Beer Museum, which showcases the history and brewing process of Tsingtao Beer and offers visitors a chance to taste authentic Tsingtao Beer. Wang Yitong and Xu Chengwei sampled the beer and found it delicious.

That evening, Xu Chengwei took Wang Yitong to a seafood market. They selected some fresh seafood and took it to a nearby restaurant for processing. Wang Yitong found this way of eating very interesting and delicious. Savoring Qingdao's delicacies, Wang Yitong was captivated by the delicious food, while Xu Chengwei carefully served her dishes and showed great care. As they enjoyed the food, they shared their feelings, and laughter echoed throughout the restaurant.

After dinner, they strolled along the banks of the Haihe River, where the lights reflected in the water, creating a dreamlike scene. Xu Chengwei gently put his arm around Wang Yitong's shoulders, and she leaned into his embrace, feeling his warmth. They quietly admired the night view, savoring this rare moment of tranquility. On this beautiful evening, their feelings grew deeper, as if they had become one.

On the third day, Xu Chengwei took Wang Yitong to the Zhanqiao Pier, another iconic landmark in Qingdao, offering beautiful views of the sea and city. Wang Yitong and Xu Chengwei strolled along the pier and took photos.

Later, they walked into a coffee shop and sat by the window, enjoying a leisurely afternoon. Wang Yitong looked at Xu Chengwei with a smile, her eyes sparkling.

Xu Chengwei gently stirred her coffee and asked her softly, "How does it taste?"

Wang Yitong took a sip of coffee and said with a smile, "Well, I still can't get used to it. It reminds me of when I was a kid, my uncle brought home a big box of coffee during his summer vacation from college. I took a sip after brewing it and threw it away. My grandparents couldn't get used to it either, so finally my cousin took it back to her grandparents. As the saying goes, wild boars can't eat fine bran. I'm still used to the taste of tea leaves."

After hearing Wang Yitong's words, Xu Chengwei smiled and nodded. He said, "Indeed, there are a lot of people who can't get used to drinking coffee, so this is also a good market for you to open Panda Tea Coffee." After that, he gently shook Wang Yitong's hand and continued, "You see, your ideas are always so unique. I believe your Panda Tea Coffee will be very popular."

After hearing Xu Chengwei's words, Wang Yitong smiled happily and said, "Of course, I have made a lot of preparations. But I also want to thank you for your continued support and encouragement."

Xu Chengwei looked at Wang Yitong and said affectionately: "There is no need to say thank you between us. I will always be with you and realize your dreams together."

They looked at each other and smiled.

In the evening, they arrived at the beach in Qingdao. The afterglow of the setting sun cast a shimmering light on the sea. Xu Chengwei held Wang Yitong's hand and strolled along the beach, listening to the sound of the waves and enjoying each other's company.

After spending a few days in Qingdao, Wang Yitong and Xu Chengwei embarked on a journey to Beijing. They took the high-speed train, enjoying the beautiful scenery outside the window along the way, and felt particularly relaxed.

After arriving in Beijing, the two went to the Wanliu Academy, which Xu Chengwei had previously bought. The house had been renovated, and after the two put down their luggage, Xu Chengwei contacted someone to come and clean it.
