"Sister-in-law, Brother He is injured, come here quickly."
Lin Zhixing is a doctor. When she received the call from her boyfriend He Mingyu's friend, she had just finished an eight-hour operation and returned home from get off work without having time to drink a sip of water.
When she walked into the bar box, she saw a young girl sitting in He Mingyu's arms, her arms around his neck, her white and slender legs resting on his legs, her eyes red, and tears faintly visible on her long eyelashes.
Seeing Lin Zhixing come in, He Mingyu quickly said, "Zhizhi, her right foot is injured, go take a look."
The girl looked at her with tearful almond eyes and said delicately, "Excuse me, sister."
Lin Zhixing lowered his eyes and looked at the girl's feet on the sofa. After hesitating for a moment, he half-knelt down.
Her hand had just reached out, but before it touched the girl's ankle...
"Ah, that hurts."
The girl made a sound of pain, her face wrinkled and she buried her head in the man's arms.
"Lin Zhixing, can you treat illnesses?"
"I haven't met her yet."
Lin Zhixing raised his head and explained.
He Mingyu's brows knitted together, and he looked at her with anger in his eyes, "How could she be in pain if you didn't touch her?"
As he spoke, he gently patted the girl's back to comfort her.
I only knew before that he should be nice to other women.
Today, when I saw his gentle and affectionate side for the first time, I felt so pathetic.
The overly divisive contrast was like a knife, stabbing Lin Zhixing's heart.
She had only been his girlfriend for four years, but they had known each other for nearly twenty years before that.
They went to and from school together when they were in school.
During the holidays, she took good care of his daily life and stayed up all night to help him cool down physically when he had a fever.
The girl in front of him might have known him for less than four days.
He Mingyu would rather believe in the feelings of these four days.
Lin Zhixing slowly stood up and said, "I'm sorry, I can't treat this disease."
"Can't treat it?" He Mingyu said coldly, "Lin Zhixing, our family has raised you for so many years, supporting you for eight years to complete your medical studies, and you can't even treat such a minor illness."
Lin Zhixing heard the contempt in the man's tone.
She finally realized his dissatisfaction with her and their relationship.
I also realized that my identity in his heart has never changed.
Lin Zhixing straightened his back, lowered his eyes and looked carefully at the man he had loved for many years, then spoke with difficulty.
"Master He, I can't treat this young lady's illness." She paused and continued, "Also, I'm sorry for taking up the position of your girlfriend for the past few years. I won't do that again in the future."
He Mingyu raised his dark eyes, his expression half-smiling, "Are you breaking up with me? It just so happens that I want to give Lulu a name."
The man spoke in a relaxed tone.
like……
I've been waiting for her to say this.
"Master He, take your time and enjoy. I'm leaving first."
Lin Zhixing turned and left.
Before leaving the box, I heard He Mingyu's friends talking.
"Why do I feel that my sister-in-law is quite serious this time?"
"Come on, if it weren't for the pressure from the He family, would it be her turn as a nanny's daughter to sit in this position?"
"She was reluctant to leave. Wouldn't she come back obediently after just a call from our Brother He?"
Lin Zhixing quickened his pace and left.
The moment I left the box, a surge of emotions came over me like a tide.
Her mother was the He family's nanny and died in a home invasion twenty years ago.
Her father ran away with the compensation.
The He family kindly took her in.
Let her go to school with He Mingyu, who is the same age as her, and take care of him at school.
She has no family, and all her memories of growing up are related to He Mingyu.
Later they got together.
The man once publicly announced at the company's annual meeting that he was her girlfriend.
I also bought her a diamond ring and said I wanted to marry her.
Memories intertwined with what had just happened.
Like an invisible hand squeezing her heart.
The pain was so severe that she couldn't breathe.
It was not until passersby gave him strange looks that Lin Zhixing realized that tears had begun to fall uncontrollably from his eyes.
She turned and went into the women's restroom of the bar, walked into the innermost cubicle, and then broke down and burst into tears.
When she had vented all her sadness and was ready to embrace a new life...
As soon as the door opened, a tall figure rushed in.
Lin Zhixing was so frightened that she was about to scream, but the man covered her mouth with his big hand, forced her into a corner, and warned her in a low voice, "If you want to live, then cooperate with me honestly."
The man's voice was heavy and contained obvious forbearance.
The moment she came closer, she was enveloped by the overwhelming smell of blood.
The palm covering her mouth and nose also smelled of fresh blood.
Perhaps it was the doctor's natural concern for the injured, Lin Zhixing's resistance instantly subsided.
The man heard the noise outside and turned around to lock the door of the compartment. After trying twice, he found that the lock was broken.
"Where the hell did they go?"
"Shit, he's not going to the bathroom, is he?"
"You stay here, I'll go check the men's room! If I find him, I'll break his legs. Damn it, let's see if he can get away!"
The man stood against the wall, his face pale and half the sleeve of his dark shirt completely soaked with blood.
Lin Zhixing's gaze fell on the man's face. He felt vaguely that his cold, dark eyes looked familiar, as if...
Where have I seen you before?
I heard someone outside enter the women's restroom.
Lin Zhixing didn't know what was going on in his head. He grabbed the man's belt and repeated what he had just said, "If you want to live, cooperate with me."
