Lin Zhixing didn't expect that He Mingyu actually mentioned their relationship to Aunt Zeng.
She pretended to be surprised, opened her mouth, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "He must have told you... a long time ago."
"Soon, maybe... one or two years."
Aunt Zeng was over 40 years old when she left the He family.
Now in his fifties.
One or two years is not a long time for her.
"Master He and I were indeed together, but we've broken up now."
Lin Zhixing twitched the corners of his mouth, as if he was trying very hard to force a smile.
After she finished speaking, she immediately bent down and picked up the things she had brought. "Aunt Zeng, I studied medicine in college, so I can help you. How is your health?"
"well."
Aunt Zeng could see that Lin Zhixing didn't want to mention this.
She has been in the He family for so many years and knows Lin Zhixing and the He family's situation very well.
It's no surprise that the two are together.
The separation is not surprising.
But she was just a nanny and didn't take care of her master's affairs.
Lin Zhixing took out the things he had prepared from the bag.
The old man's blood pressure was measured, his heart was checked, and finally his blood sugar was measured with a blood glucose meter.
After finishing several things, Lin Zhixing said, "Everything is normal. Just take your blood pressure medicine on time."
She placed the blood glucose meter on the table. "Aunt Zeng, I'll leave this meter with you. Remember to test it again before breakfast tomorrow. A blood glucose level below 7.8 before meals is normal. Check it regularly thereafter. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me."
"Okay, okay, thank you."
Aunt Zeng's face was filled with joy that could not be concealed.
"These are fish oil and calcium tablets." Lin Zhixing took out the things he bought. "These are health supplements produced by reputable companies. They are very safe. Don't buy these things casually. Buying inferior ones can be harmful to your body."
"It's not easy for you young people to make money, so you don't need to buy these."
Aunt Zeng refused.
"I've already bought it, and I can't return it."
Lin Zhixing sat down and opened the box. He took out a pen and a piece of notepaper, carefully wrote down the instructions for taking each box of medicine, and then posted them on the bottle.
She placed the medicine next to the TV and said, "Okay, just take this dosage every day from now on. I'll bring you more when you're done."
"No, I can buy it myself."
"Aunt Zeng, please don't reject me." Lin Zhixing turned around with a sincere expression. "You know my situation. I have no parents. You have a good relationship with my mother. I want to treat you well. It can be regarded as a place of support."
Lin Zhixing felt a little guilty when he said these words.
She knew about Aunt Zeng's situation.
Unlike her mother, Aunt Zeng stayed in the He family in her twenties and left when she was in her forties.
During those years, she lived and ate at the He family, and her job was to take care of He Mingyu. She was not married and had no children.
She might have originally thought of living in the He family in her old age.
Unexpectedly, the He family fired He Mingyu after she graduated from elementary school.
It may be possible to get married in your forties, but it is almost impossible to have children.
After Lin Zhixing entered the house, he looked around at the displays inside.
After all, Aunt Zeng used to be a nanny, so the house was clean and tidy.
There was hardly anything extra on the cabinets or tables.
No group photo.
Daily necessities are also provided for one person.
It seems that Aunt Zeng has been living alone since she left the He family.
She took advantage of this and wanted Aunt Zeng to be closer to her, and would tell her some of the things she knew.
Aunt Zeng then turned around, washed a cup in the kitchen, and poured a cup of warm water, "Drink some water."
Lin Zhixing watched the old man walk out of the kitchen and immediately went over to take the cup.
Aunt Zeng looked at Lin Zhixing and asked, "If you don't mind, let's have lunch together."
"I don't mind!"
Lin Zhixing immediately expressed his opinion.
"Then you wait for me at home, I'll go buy groceries."
"I'll accompany you and help you carry your things."
Lin Zhixing took a sip of water before putting down the cup in his hand, looking ready to go out with the old man at any time.
Aunt Zeng did not refuse.
The two went to the vegetable market at the entrance of the community together.
Lin Zhixing took the initiative to buy meat for the old man and asked the store to cut it into pieces. Some of it was chopped into minced meat. He also bought fish meat and chicken breast.
I also bought fruits and vegetables.
Because they bought so many things, the cart that Aunt Zeng brought out couldn't hold them all, and Lin Zhixing's hands were full.
On the way back, Aunt Zeng kept saying, "When you get home, calculate how much money you need and I'll transfer it to you."
"No need." Lin Zhixing said with a smile, "I'm making money now, but unfortunately my mother passed away early, so I can't spend it on her. I'm happy to spend it on you."
This road is not long.
Aunt Zeng remained silent all the way.
After returning home, Lin Zhixing took the initiative to help the old man.
When the food was served, she took a bite and immediately turned into a compliment: "It's delicious! I haven't eaten your cooking in a long time. It's just as delicious as I remember."
In front of Aunt Zeng, Lin Zhixing ate the food with big mouthfuls.
After finishing a bowl of rice, he went to get another bowl.
In fact, she didn't have such a big appetite, but she forced herself to eat so much in order to make the old man happy.
When she finished the second bowl of rice, she felt the food was stuck in her throat.
If you eat one more bite, you will vomit it out.
Even so, she still looked unsatisfied and said frankly: "I really want to eat a little more, but my stomach can't hold any more."
"It's okay, it's okay. Come to me anytime you want to eat it. I'll cook it for you."
