The person who called to inquire was Huo Huai'an.

Lu Fengqing had never felt this way before; not only were her eyelids twitching, but her heart was also racing.
She had just called the kindergarten, but it was noisy on the other end. The teacher who answered stammered that something had happened at the kindergarten, but it was fine now, and Lu Chenrui had been picked up by his father. She told her to call Lu Chenrui's father directly.

Lu Fengqing asked, "Where's Rui Rui?"

In the alley, Xie Chaowan stopped and looked at Lu Fengqing, who had just been running away in a panic, with a puzzled expression.
Lu Fengqing stood there, stunned. "Rui... Rui Rui, what did you say?"
"Mother!"
Then came another clear, crisp voice calling "Mom."
Lu Fengqing covered her mouth, and tears fell down her cheeks.
On the other end of the phone, Gu Suixing took the phone from Rui Rui and said, "I'm going to the hospital for a follow-up check-up on my foot injury. Take your time coming over, and drive carefully."
After a long while, Lu Fengqing finally gave a muffled "hmm".
Xie Chaowan handed Lu Fengqing a tissue and asked softly, "What's wrong?"
Lu Fengqing shook her head and said apologetically, "Aunt Wan, I have to go back. I'm worried about Suixing going to the hospital for a follow-up check-up on her foot injury."
Xie Chaowan nodded, "Okay. I'll call you again once the cheongsams are finished here."
Xie Chaowan paused, her gaze towards Lu Fengqing tender and filled with reluctance. "I get bored by myself. Come visit me more often when you have time, okay?"
This is a lonely elder making a request to a younger person.
Lu Fengqing recalled that her aunt had been single for many years, with no children and no one to keep her company most of the time except for the servants.
When Lu Fengqing met Xie Chaowan's pleading gaze, her throat felt like it was choked by something, and she replied in a slightly hoarse voice, "Okay."
