Chapter 10 Be obedient and look at your legs (2/2)

Reiner sighed, he was relieved.

As long as Martina can make money, it doesn’t matter what she thinks.

Reiner took a shower and lay down on the bed.

After a few days of hard work outside, he just wanted to have a good sleep.

Just as he was about to fall asleep, a voice from his heart floated into his ears.

Nora: (Martina finally fell asleep, but the master seemed to be asleep too.)

Reiner had a few more questions in his mind.

What does she want to do?

(Or tomorrow, it’s not good to wake up the master now, he must be very tired.)

Reiner opened his eyes and found a pair of blue eyes staring at him, like a scene from a horror movie.

"What are you doing up here at night?" Reiner asked in confusion.

Nora took a few steps back, pointed at the cat ears on her head, and said seriously: "Master, I'm here to fulfill my promise. I'll let you touch my ears when I come back..."

If Nora hadn't mentioned it, Reiner would have almost forgotten about it.

"Come, sit on my bed."

He finally enjoyed the freedom of petting the cat.

Nora shook her head, looking quite alert: "You can only touch the ears! You can't do anything else... Master, please don't have any strange thoughts about me."

"I know, I know. You're almost skin and bones. I'm only interested in your ears."

(If that's the case, that would be great. It's just a pat on the ear.)

"Okay...okay, I'll come over then." Nora's steps were light, and she sat on the bed with her back to Reiner.

The furry black cat ears were still shaking flexibly.

Reiner reached out and grabbed it.

Nora was frightened and trembled violently: "Woo..."

(I still hate having my ears touched, but my master seems to like it, so I'll just have to be patient.)

"Don't you like it?" Reiner asked knowingly.

Noila Mo replied softly: "I don't dislike it. Master, just be slow when you touch me. My ears are very sensitive. If you rub them too hard, I will feel uncomfortable."

Reiner slowed down and poked the fuzz in her ear with his finger.

"Thank you for saving me. If you had ignored me, I would probably be dead now."

"It's okay. You have to work hard now anyway. Do you have anything you particularly like to eat?"

(I am already satisfied with just having black bread.)

Nora shook her head and replied softly, "No."

"Since you don't work for me, I'll take care of your life. Just tell me what you want to eat."

(If only there was meat...)

Reiner silently noted it down.

Poultry is not cheap in this world.

A whole chicken, duck, or goose cost three silver coins, which was more than three times the price of a loaf of good bread.

Livestock such as pigs, cattle, and sheep were even more expensive. One pound of meat cost nearly three silver coins, making it difficult for ordinary families to afford it.

But Nora is a cat-like subhuman after all, and is born to eat meat. It is not okay to let her just eat black bread.

It's just that this guy is always too polite, and what he says is completely different from what he thinks: "Thank you, Master. I am very satisfied with my current life."

Seeing that she didn't tell the truth, Reiner scratched the lint in her ears as punishment.

He planned to go to the city tomorrow to buy some equipment for Martina, and two Kunkuns for Nora to supplement her nutrition...
