Chapter 142 We'll Meet Again (2/2)

Reiner raised his staff, unfolded the barrier, and asked, "Are you Lalith of Desire?"

She didn't answer the question, but instead asked, "How can you speak our language? Did you kill Satoros?"

The flexible tail swung left and right from time to time.

Reiner answered honestly: "Yes."

"That's right. I saw your terrifying magic power from a few miles away. Honestly, this is the first time I've seen magic of this magnitude. The King's capital is far inferior to you. I completely expected Satoros to lose to you."

"I almost died."

Lelith frowned slightly, narrowed her eyes, and looked at Reiner again: "Honestly, with this amount of magic power, I can't imagine you losing."

Reiner waved his hand and stopped talking nonsense: "Let's get straight to the point. I heard that you bewitched a lot of orcs. Where are they?"

"Dead! These guys have too little magic power, not even enough to fill the gaps in my teeth." Lelith said expressionlessly, "Let me be clear, I didn't provoke them personally. They attacked me as soon as they saw me, so I killed them.

Those guys who have no self-awareness won't live long, so I might as well send them on their way."

Reiner didn't answer, just listened silently.

He felt that these demons all had the same tone and personality, with basically no difference.

Like Lelith, Satoros loves chatting.

After a moment's silence, Lailisi continued, "You really want to kill me."

"How did you know that?"

"I can sense the aura you're emitting. The cat-like and horse-like demihumans next to you should be quite powerful too, right? Their auras are no weaker than yours." Lelith's lips curled slightly. With a wave of her slender hand, the green chair popped up out of thin air. "Would you like to talk to me?"

"What?"

"I'm much more powerful than Satoros. I might be the most powerful demon you'll encounter in a long time. You won't get any advantage fighting me.

Besides, I don't like fighting, I prefer talking if I can."

"What is there to talk about?"

"I have a feeling that one day in the future, our king will surely be defeated by you. Until then, I want to pledge my loyalty to you.

Don't be surprised, not all demons fight for the Demon King. There are many like me who fight for myself. Hell is too boring, the world outside is more interesting."

"Am I asking for trouble by staying with this devil?" Reiner's position was clear.

After saying that, he began to accumulate a ball of light at the top of the staff.

Laelis smiled but said nothing, standing there motionless.

"What? Are you that much stronger than Satoros? You saw me gathering my strength and you didn't run away."

Lelith shrugged, lying on the void throne, and replied lazily, "Because there is absolutely no need for this."

Reiner thought she was pretending.

After charging for a while and seeing that she still didn't run away, he decisively fired the Blazing Sun Spear.

Lalith took the blow without a word, most of her body was shattered into pieces, and her head rolled to Reiner's feet.

The corners of her mouth curled up slightly, and she said sleepily: "We will meet again, don't treat me like this then..."

As soon as she finished speaking, her head turned into powder and completely dissipated in the wind.

Her voice sounded quite charming, making Reiner feel a little hot inside.

Aliana leaned forward to take a look and said, "The clone technique allowed her to escape."

Reiner shrugged, figuring that Lelith wouldn't attack him for a while. Anyway, he had completed the system's mission.
