Chapter 169 Fiona's plan was interrupted (1/2)

Fiona doesn't actually live with her family.

It is said that once an orc reaches the age of 18, both men and women must move out and live on their own. Only when they find a mate will they return to their home to stay for a night.

Reiner came to Fiona's door and knocked on the wooden door but no one responded.

Not long after Potato Dad left, she also left, and no one knew where she went.

Reiner randomly caught a passing orc patrol and asked about Fiona's whereabouts.

I asked several people in a row, but they didn't know where she was.

Until Reiner saw a familiar figure.

Chiron, Fiona's best friend, is said to be the most powerful female warrior of the Rock Clan.

Reiner quickly called her: "Do you know where Fiona is?"

"What do you want to see her about?" Chiron was alert. Her eyes gradually shifted downwards, landing on a strange place. "Oh, you two are going on a date, but she's a bit busy right now. She's meeting with the chiefs of other tribes in the Bone Hall. You can wait for her there."

Chiron suddenly came closer and said in a low voice, "She's a bit shy, so don't be too forceful when you're on a date. She'll get scared."

Reiner left the place with an embarrassed look on his face.

He asked around for the location of Fiona's meeting, and finally found a council hall that was supported by the huge skeletons of some unknown creature and was tightly surrounded by wooden boards.

On both sides of the curtain at the entrance stood dozens of beast guards, each wearing a different outfit, seemingly from a variety of clans.

Reiner looked around, leaned against a sturdy pine tree, and waited.

I thought they would be done talking in about ten minutes, but I ended up waiting for two hours until evening before some orc chieftains I didn't recognize came out one after another.

They were cursing at each other and it looked like they were not having a particularly pleasant conversation.

Finally, when the lights inside went out, Fiona came out with a tired look on her face.

She didn't notice Reiner under the tree. After greeting the guard at the door, she walked towards home.

Reiner quickly caught up with her, patted her shoulder, and their eyes met.

"Reiner? Why are you here?"

"I've been waiting for you under the tree for a long time. It seems like you two didn't have a pleasant conversation."

"Ah, yes, the clans are not particularly united. They all have their own agendas. Even in such a major undertaking as helping the elves defend against demons from the north, they are worried about losing out."

Fiona lowered her head and muttered to herself, "In order to unite the tribe, I have always compromised. Now more and more people think I am weak, and the tribe has fallen into turmoil again..."

She is now thinking of countermeasures, and her brain never stops for a moment.

When she reached the door of her house, she seemed to remember something and turned back to look at Reiner: "Come to think of it, you should have something to talk to me about, right?"

"I came to see you on a date."

"ah!"

Fiona screamed, her face completely red, and she subconsciously looked around.

"Just kidding. I'm here to say goodbye. I'll be away for about two months. During this time, I'll have Lalith leave two clones here to assist you. If there's anything urgent, you can tell Lalith."

Fiona pulled Lena into the house and asked, "Is she safe? If she is, I'll let her live with me."

Reiner looked around and found that Fiona's house was still so simple.

There was only a bed and a wooden dining table in the living room, and the small compartment at the deepest part of the house was the kitchen for making fire and cooking.

She didn't even have a wooden floor; the ground was just covered in dirt.

"She's safe, feel free to use her."

"Oh." Fiona nodded, then clumsily pulled out a chair in front of the dining table. "Reiner, please sit down. You probably haven't eaten yet. I'll get you something to eat."

After saying that, she went into the kitchen and started busying herself.

"Okay!"

Reiner was not polite. He sat down at the dining table and waited. He planned to leave after eating.
