Chapter 19 Nora's apology (2/2)

"What can I do for you?"

Dimas tossed over a bag of money. "Here's your share."

Reiner glanced at the bag and saw that it was filled with copper coins, with a few silver coins occasionally visible.

"I didn't take the quest from the Adventure Guild. I just helped out along the way." He threw the money down.

If he didn't accept the mission, he didn't accept it. Reiner didn't want to take advantage of this.

Dimas threw the money over again and said, "Take it. You've done a lot of work.

Also, I apologize for my rudeness to you."

Then he didn't give Reiner a chance to refuse and turned around on his horse and rode away.

After walking a distance, he nodded and said, "Reiner, I'll do you a favor."

Having said that, he left without even looking back.

Reiner looked at Nora and shrugged.

He bought two smoked chickens from the tavern, and then took the beast-eared woman to find a hotel in the center of the city to rest.

Looking at the small, simple, dungeon-like room, Reiner doubted whether he had ordered a deluxe double room.

Especially the pillows covered with mold...the sanitary conditions are worrying.

He was worried that he would wake up with a few mushrooms growing on his head.

Reiner went downstairs and wanted to ask the hotel owner, but when he accidentally saw a large bunk bed where seven or eight people were sleeping, he decisively gave up the idea.

His room was truly a paradise by comparison.

Reiner sat at the table and took out black bread and smoked chicken.

Martina came over to eat consciously, while Nora sat on the bed with her knees hugged, watching the two of them.

(I'm sorry, but I don't have the right to eat anything today.)

Reiner was speechless for a moment.

He had no intention of blaming Nora.

"Why don't you come over and eat?"

Noila shook her head: “I’m not hungry…Master, you guys eat.”

Reiner put down the black bread in his hand: "Really? Look into my eyes and say it again."

Nora and Reiner looked at each other.

But she soon looked away guiltily.

"My hand is injured and I need someone to feed me."

Martina blinked and looked up at him.

Reiner quickly gave her a look, telling her not to get involved.

Nora understood and walked quickly towards him: "I'll feed it."

She rolled the black bread into very thin slices and fed Reiner one slice at a time.

Then she pulled off a smoked chicken leg and put it to Reiner's mouth.

Maybe Nora herself didn't even notice.

When she saw the meat, she couldn't help but drool.

"Help yourself to a bite. I know you must be hungry."

Seeing Noila still hesitating, he emphasized his tone: "Do you want me to feed you myself?"

Nora shook her head vigorously and then stuffed the meat into her mouth.

She blamed herself again.

(Nora, you idiot! Why do you always make your master angry? You are so stupid!)

???

Reiner was speechless.

But he didn't have the energy to struggle anymore.

He planned to wait until tomorrow to explain things to Nora.

After eating, he lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

He didn't know how much time had passed, but the room was completely dark. He could hear Martina's snoring and could feel Nora poking his face.

(The master seems to have woken up.)

"What's wrong? Is there something wrong?"

Nora replied with a trembling voice: "Master... punish me."
