Chapter 21 Learning Magic from Junice (2/2)

Soon they arrived outside the city of Melode.

Junice found an open space and then took out the magic book she carried with her.

She handed it to Reiner and said, "Look. If there's anything you don't know, just ask me. I have a water-attributed magic book at home. If you have time tomorrow, I'll bring that book with you."

"Okay, I will come to the Adventurer's Guild to find you tomorrow morning." Reiner nodded, then began to read it carefully.

Nora and Martina were free to move around.

The two animal-eared girls seemed to be talking about something interesting, and Martina was laughing the whole time.

"No wonder they trust you so much." Junice followed Reiner's gaze and suddenly said.

"What's wrong?"

"Reiner, you're not like ordinary people. I thought no one except me would feed white bread to demi-humans." Junice laughed.

"You've also fed white bread to demi-humans? You're not ordinary."

Junice came close to Reiner and said mysteriously, "Are you really curious about my identity?"

"I'm a little curious." Reiner glanced at her and continued, "Just tell me directly. I won't tell anyone."

"Okay, okay, I'll tell you." Junice sighed and said helplessly, "Actually, I'm not from Diast. I escaped here."

"A noble, right?"

Junice nodded.

She might be the daughter of a duke.

"Which country did you flee from?"

"I can't tell you that." Junice shook her head and said sincerely, "Please forgive me."

Reiner guessed that she was from Rossno because, besides Diast, she spoke Rossno the best.

Junice propped up her chin and looked directly into Reiner's eyes: "Now it's my turn to ask. Can you tell me why you are so kind to the demihumans?"

"Demihumans are still human. From what I've observed, they're a bit stronger and have a few minor differences from humans, but overall they're pretty much the same.

And they are more simple and kind. If you treat them well, they will find ways to repay you."

"You and I have the same idea." Junice said with a smile, then patted Reiner's shoulder, "Continue studying, I won't bother you anymore."

.

After learning magic from Junice in the morning, Reiner finally learned how to cast a fireball.

And in the afternoons, he began teaching Junice other languages.

She studies very seriously and memorizes things very quickly. She can memorize twenty words by heart in less than half an hour.

Watching her write out the words completely, Reiner was moved and said, "You learn really fast. At this rate, you'll be able to learn Barnett in no time."

Reiner never passed his English exam.

He was often caught by the teacher memorizing words and was a frequent visitor to the English teacher's office...

Junice narrowed her eyes, "You learn magic very quickly."

"I knew nothing about learning other countries' languages before and was often scolded by my teacher. Later on, I got the hang of it and learned it in no time." Reiner sighed.

If the system hadn't enabled him to switch languages, he would have probably starved to death in the first week after traveling through time.

"That's pretty impressive. You know at least a dozen languages, right? If you don't want to be an adventurer one day, you can still make a lot of money as a teacher." Junice closed her notebook, then stood up from the lawn and patted the dirt off her butt.

"It's getting late, let's stop here for today. I'll go now."

Reiner glanced at the sky and saw that it was almost evening.

"It's time for me to go home. See you tomorrow." Reiner waved goodbye.

He called out, and the two animal-eared girls who were playing not far away came running over.

Martina suppressed a laugh, and Nora blushed, but neither of them spoke a word...
