Chapter 311 Preparing to Give Birth (1/2)

The next morning, Reiner and his family left Lilita and returned to the tribe in the north.

Junice joked, "Look how anxious Reiner is, as if he's afraid that Peggy will run away."

After saying that, Junice poked Reiner's butt with her staff.

Aliana also expressed her opinion: "Reiner, you pervert, at this rate, you'll probably have a ton of children in your lifetime."

Martina squinted her eyes and looked at the tribe in the distance. She seemed to be doubting her life.

"I can't understand why I haven't gotten pregnant yet... wuwuwu."

"It's just a bad pregnancy. Don't be discouraged." Junice stretched out her arm and patted Martina's pony ears, comforting her softly.

Reiner also looked at Martina.

At least she didn't have any infertility debuff on her status bar.

But if she really couldn't have children, her innocence would be shattered.

After all, Martina only has those three wishes.

They can eat their fill, win fights, and have many offspring.

It seems that I need to take better care of her during this period.

Reiner tugged at Martina's cheek and said seriously, "It's okay. We'll just have to work harder later."

The few of them chatted as they walked, and many people greeted them along the way. After a while, they arrived home.

The snow had not yet covered the steps of the house; it was evident that Aunt Daisy had swept it only that morning.

Reiner knocked on the door, and soon the sound of running feet could be heard in the house.

"Who is it?" It was Daisy's voice.

Lalith didn't inform them in advance, so they didn't know Reiner was coming back.

Nora shouted from the side: "Mom, it's me, we are back."

Daisy opened the door and her eyes fell on her family whom she hadn't seen for nearly half a month.

She greeted everyone one by one, then hugged Nora tightly.

Peggy heard the sound and came downstairs. She stuck her head out from the corner of the stairs and took a peek at Reiner, but quickly retracted it.

Damn fox, it's playing hide-and-seek with him.

Junice saw Reiner's little thoughts, patted her on the back and said, "Go ahead. You haven't seen her in almost half a month."

Reiner nodded and ran upstairs.

Peggy poked her head out of the room, glanced at Reiner, and then retracted it.

She carefully closed the door in front of Reiner.

???

Reiner walked into the room boldly, looked at her sitting alone on the bed, and asked in confusion: "Why? You don't welcome me after not seeing me for so long?"

Hearing this, Peggy seemed to have her memories awakened. She forced a smile and said slowly, "Welcome home, benefactor."

Reiner performed an appraisal on her, and when he saw the familiar two words on the status bar, he nodded with satisfaction.

Paige, by contrast, seemed a little nervous.

Strange voices kept coming into Reiner's ears.

(How should I tell my benefactor later? What if he doesn’t recognize this child? I’m anxious…)

Peggy shrank into the corner, hugged her knees and bit her fingernails.

"I haven't seen you for half a month. Don't you want to hug me?" Reiner raised his eyebrows at her.
