Chapter 44: Exploration in the Ruins (2/2)

He was not afraid at all when he saw the skeleton monster.

Reiner remembered that Nora's spirit was a little weaker than Martina's.

Then the mental resistance to such terrifying things will be relatively weak.

Reiner raised his staff and knocked the skeleton down with a water ball technique. The round head rolled into the ditch beside him.

Then he reached out and touched Nora's cat ears, comforting her: "Don't be afraid, I will be with you."

Junice looked at the two of them and said seriously, "Teammates who are encouraged will reduce the risk of mental breakdown. If she is very scared, you can comfort her more."

Nora argued cunningly: "I'm not afraid, I just feel a little surprised."

Martina looked at the bones on the ground and said expressionlessly, "Why should I be afraid of this? It's just a pile of bones. I've seen things a hundred times scarier than this."

Junice bent down and searched among the bones, then broke off a piece of bone and handed it to Reiner: "You can take the skeleton thumb bone to the Adventurer's Guild to exchange for money."

"How much?"

Reiner already had a rough estimate of this. A monster that was so easy to kill should not be worth much money.

Junice whispered, "The same price as the Slime Demon Core."

As expected.

Twenty thumb bones were needed to buy a piece of black bread.

But according to the principle that no matter how small a fly is, it is still meat, Reiner will still pick it up honestly.

The four continued to move forward.

I have to say, there are quite a few monsters in these ruins.

In just a short distance, Reiner had killed dozens of skeletons.

Although they didn't have any equipment, they looked like ordinary civilians in their lifetime.

"Didn't you say there might be treasure?" Reiner asked doubtfully.

"Yes, it might be hidden somewhere, or perhaps it has been taken away by other adventurers.

I heard that a few decades ago, the profession of ruins explorer was quite popular. Many people found treasures and became rich overnight.

And in recent days, this profession has gradually become deserted..."

Reiner spread his hands.

In fact, it doesn’t matter to him whether he has treasure or not.

After all, he came here just to complete the system task.

Finding Pierre would be a complete bonus.

After walking for a while, Nora, who was in the front, stopped again.

She looked down at the ground, then picked up a stone from the roadside and threw it over.

There was only a muffled sound, and the dirt road ahead quickly collapsed, turning into a bottomless pit.

Reiner asked in confusion, "That's amazing! How did you figure that out?"

This trap was very secretive, basically no different from any other road, but Nora's eyes were so sharp that she could detect the clues at a glance.

"I just felt like there was something hollow underneath, so I took a stone and tried it out. I actually guessed right."

Reiner had a clearer understanding of her perception ability.

At this moment, Junice raised her staff and pointed it in the direction of the pit.

Nora took out the dagger again: "Master, there is something in the pit."

"There's a kind of monster called the Crypt Spider that hides in these trap caves. They're quite dangerous."

As soon as Junice finished speaking, Reiner saw a dark figure rush out of the cave and rush towards them at high speed.

It was a black spider about the size of a bison.

"Ah!" Martina roared, and with great force she knocked the demon spider over with her shield, and then split its head with a sword.

The demon spider twitched and shed large amounts of green blood, and finally lay on the ground with its four legs facing the sky, completely lifeless.

Reiner was about to praise Martina when he caught a glimpse of Nora's face.
