Veronia stared at Reiner, but her eyes quickly began to dodge.
She looked up at the sky, lost in thought as she watched the sun hanging overhead.
(It's already noon. Time flies. I get a headache thinking about having to deal with all the government affairs that pile up again tomorrow.)
Reiner suggested, "How about just going for a walk?"
"Forget it. I'm flying around all the time. Can you take me somewhere quiet? It would be best if I could...rest a bit."
Reiner suddenly became excited: "Rest!"
Veroniya's cheeks flushed slightly, and she punched Reiner lightly: "Don't always think about such messed up things. I mean what I say literally."
Reiner smiled maliciously and asked, "What are you talking about? I meant what I said literally."
Veroniya's face turned even redder and she punched Reiner again.
Reiner teleported Veronia to the cabin in the woods, and then said seriously, "That's it."
She stood beside the magic stone, looked around the room, and then asked, "What is this place?"
Soon, her eyes fell on the bed in the corner.
(Could this be where Reiner and his date were? It seems so remote…there’s no sound at all.)
Reiner raised an eyebrow at her, "A place to rest, of course."
Veronia said doubtfully, "Really? Even though we're friends, it's a little inappropriate for a man and a woman to be alone in a room like this. If the elves see us, it'll be troublesome."
Reiner waved his hand: "Although this is a forest, there are not many elves nearby. Rest assured."
Veroniya walked around the room and then asked Reiner, "Why is there no place to sit here?"
Reiner gestured towards the bed.
(This…this, this, this, this feels a bit off. Never mind…let’s be more generous and natural.)
Veronia sat on the edge of the bed, crossed her legs and straightened herself up, while looking at Reiner.
(Why isn't he talking? The atmosphere feels weird.
Reiner is so handsome. If I had met him two decades earlier, I would have fallen hopelessly in love with him.
How about...trying it with him? No one knows about this anyway.)
Reiner asked knowingly, "Why are you staring at me?"
Veroniya turned her head and looked away: "Who is staring at you? No one."
Reiner's mouth curled up slightly: "I can hear your pounding heartbeat."
Veroniya pouted and argued, "So what? It's hard not to have wild thoughts when you're in the same room with a man, right?"
Reiner got straight to the point: "Don't you really want to have a child to strengthen our relationship?"
Veroniya preemptively shouted, "Ah! You're actually thinking about that! How dare you, Reiner!"
Her face was completely red, her long elf ears were drooping, and her slender waist was bent timidly.
(If...if Reiner insists on doing something to me, I can't beat him.
If only Reiner had been a little tougher...)
Reiner sat down next to her and continued to bewitch her, "Just think of it as a chance to relax."
"Humans are so evil!" Veroniya punched Reiner hard.
You know what, it does hurt when she hits people.
Reiner sighed in mock resignation, then played hard to get and said, "Well, this is really disappointing. I thought there would be a romantic encounter, but now it seems we'd better go ahead."
Seeing the rune halo appear on Reiner's wrist, Veroniya quickly reached out and grabbed the corner of his clothes: "Wait!"
"What's wrong?"
Veroniya played with the golden hair that fell from her temples, lowered her head and muttered to herself, "That kind of thing will happen too quickly... We can start by being friends."
"We've been friends for a long time, let's take the next step." Reiner could hardly hold back his laughter.
Veroniya refused firmly: "No! Even so, I still don't know you well enough... Come to the garden to find me more often in the future, or I will come here to find you... Okay?"
