Chapter 481: Let Lalith Live Comfortably (1/2)

"Why haven't you come to see me these days?" Veronia hugged Reiner tightly and refused to let go. Her voice was a little loud when she was acting coquettishly.

Reiner was in her bedroom at the moment, and there were many elf guards patrolling the corridor. If they heard the noise, it would be terrible.

Reiner covered her mouth: "Shh, keep your voice down, weren't you afraid of being discovered by others?"

Veroniya nodded obediently, and after Reiner released her hand, she asked softly, "Don't you like me anymore?"

There was a hint of unease in her tone.

"No, I've just been a little busy lately. You should know this, right? Didn't the guards at the sealed gate report this to you?"

Veroniya nodded and gently touched Reiner's cheek: "I only know that you are going in, but I don't know what you are going to do."

"I killed the devil."

"What! The devil is dead?" Veronia jumped up from the bed.

As soon as she finished speaking, there was a sound of hurried footsteps in the corridor, followed by a knock on the door and the voice of the elf guard: "Your Majesty, are you still there?"

Veroniya cleared her throat and replied calmly, "I'm fine, please leave."

Reiner crawled out from under the bed only after the guards left.

He has mastered this routine so well that when he hears a sound approaching, he either hides behind the curtains or crawls under the bed.

"Don't be so startled. It will be troublesome if you get caught." Reiner sighed and paused for a moment before continuing, "As the Queen of Elves, didn't my mother-in-law, Selena, report this to you?"

Veroniya tilted her head slightly, thought for a moment, and then replied, "She...seems to have said she forgot to apologize."

"Aren't you too careless?" Reiner touched her long golden hair and kissed her cheek.

This big potato seems to be in a bad working condition recently, with a lot of mess in his head.

Veroniya stuck out her tongue playfully, then hugged Reiner again.

Reiner sighed and continued, "Then Lelith decided to stay in Hell for me. Now, unless I go find her, I won't even get to see her once."

"Lailisi, is that the demon of desire that's following you? How long will she stay in there?"

Reiner shrugged. "I don't know, maybe a dozen years or a few hundred years. It's a very long time."

Veroniya stopped what she was doing and began to imagine herself in her shoes: "Indeed... staying alone in a place like that does make people feel lonely. I hope she can bear it."

Reiner laid down on the bed and began to wonder what Lelith would do now.

According to what she once said, she was basically asleep for most of the time she was sealed in hell.

But she's rebelled, and she's probably surrounded by hostile demons. She definitely can't sleep peacefully anymore...

Veroniya said gently as she helped Reiner tidy up his slightly messy hair: "No wonder you have a sad aura today... Let me soothe you, dear, relax..."

Reiner thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No, I have to go through the sealed gate tomorrow. No demons other than Lalith can be left alive. Otherwise, it will be too dangerous for her. I can't let it go."

Veroniya blinked and was stunned: "Huh?"

"Remember to tell the guards for me, otherwise they will stop me if I want to go in."

"I know, I know. Let's do something else now." Veroniya gently pushed Reiner's cheek and said in a charming voice, "I miss you, so much... Take me with you, anywhere, let me help you."

Reiner shook his head: "No, I need to go back."
