Chapter 489 Achieving the Goal (2/2)

"You two wait for me." Veroniya left the room.

She drove away all the guards in the bedroom and returned to her room after a long time.

After hearing the noise, Ilaiya continued, "You've obviously gotten into trouble. In the past, whenever I started to scold you, you would send the guards away."

"You know me, Eliya!" After saying this, Veroniya cleared her throat and then slowly said, "Ilia, I'm pregnant."

As soon as these words were spoken, Ilaiya, who was tidying up the wardrobe, seemed to have pressed the pause button, and stood motionless with his back to Veroniya.

After several seconds, it was still the same. Veronia looked at Reiner in confusion.

Reiner was also very puzzled by this.

After waiting for a few more seconds, Ilea finally returned to normal. She seemed to have aged several years. "You're pregnant so soon... Oh, I know what you're going to do."

Veroniya couldn't hold back her laughter. She hugged Ilea from behind and said, "Really? We are such a pair of best friends who are so in tune with each other!"

Ilea turned around and sighed. "But... I might have to spoil your fun. The difficulty of pretending to be you for ten months is self-evident. This is definitely not as simple as before, where I pretended for a few days and let you go out to slack off. Veroniya, do you understand?"

"I don't understand!"

Ilea continued, "So go find someone else. I beg you..."

As soon as she finished speaking, Veroniya hugged her tightly and played the emotional card: "Ilaiya, you are my sister in terms of age. Apart from you, there is no one else around me that I can trust. Can you help me?"

"Ten months! Oh my God! If you want me to die, just say it." Ilia's eyes widened and she wanted to push Veronia away.

Veroniya shook her head: "No, no, no, it's not ten months, it's five months! If I work fast enough, it will only take five months.

I promise that after I give birth to my child, I will sit quietly in the imperial study the next day, and I will never be distracted again, I promise!"

Ilea looked at Reiner, a hint of confusion in his eyes: "Is there a big difference between ten months and five months?

Veroniya, you only cause trouble. I do good deeds every day and have never done anything bad. Why is this happening..."

Reiner could see that Ilea's defense was a little broken.

He found a place to sit quietly, then cleared his mind and prepared to be scolded.

The two of them spent the next moment under Elijah's scolding.

Good Reiner was already used to being scolded by the teacher when he was in school. It had become a passive skill for him to ignore it. When he was scolded, he would nod and agree: "Yes, that's right, we shouldn't do this."

After half an hour, Ilea was probably tired of scolding.

She didn't care whose cup of water on the table belonged to her, she just picked it up and drank it.

Ilya seemed even more shameless. Seeing this, she hugged him and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Ilya. In my heart, you will always be my teacher."

Elijah hesitated to speak.

She sighed and slammed the door.

Veroniya looked over and then made a scissors gesture towards Reiner: "Yeah! It worked."

"Really? Why does she look like she's going to run away from home?"

Veroniya said seriously, "No, no, no, this is what happens when I make Ilaya angry. She has a sharp tongue but a soft heart, and she has spoiled me since I was a child.

From what I know about her, she should be trying to figure out a solution now."

After saying that, she closed the door and slowly walked towards Reiner with an intriguing smile on her face.
