Chapter 80: The Elf Girl Shows Her Strength (2/2)

Martina had said before that she didn't like elves.

Reiner said to the others, "Let's rest here for a while and continue our journey in the afternoon."

Then he dismounted and laid Aliana on the ground.

As they sat together eating, Reiner handed Martina the greatsword and said, "Let me see what you can do."

Seeing Martina looking towards them, Reiner added, "Be careful later. This sword is her lifeblood. If you accidentally break it, she'll be absolutely furious."

Aliana nodded.

She dragged Martina's greatsword with great effort and placed it on the snow. Then she suddenly clasped her hands together and slowly closed her eyes.

Soon, a melodious song came out of her mouth, but the greatsword in the snow did not change.

Junice came over and asked in a low voice, "Is she singing?"

Reiner nodded. "I don't know either. This should be some kind of ritual to enchant equipment."

Dozens of seconds later, refracted by the sunlight, the smooth sword blade actually emitted a holy light.

When fighting the Necromancer in the ruins, Reiner and his knights had also seen a similar light on their armor.

But the light emitted by the weapon enchanted by Aliana was obviously more dazzling.

Aliana's eyes sparkled, and she said confidently, "It's ready. Go ahead and try it."

Reiner picked up the sword and swung it vigorously at the air around him.

Seeing that the weight didn't seem to change, he looked closely at the blade and finally made a discovery.

Because Martina always used this two-handed sword intensively, there were several noticeable notches on the sharp blade. However, after being enchanted by Aliana, the notches were slightly softened.

"You can only help us repair our equipment?" Reiner asked with a raised eyebrow.

This enchantment was not what he had imagined.

Aliana put her hands on her hips and said seriously, "You can try to use magic on it and see what happens."

Reiner raised his head and shouted: "Martina, be the target."

Martina immediately ran over, took her sword, and began to swing it.

"Just hold it still while I try to hit the sword with Water Ball."

"knew."

Reiner raised his staff and shot a water ball.

The water ball, which should have hit the bull's eye, was deflected by an invisible force and hit a pine tree nearby.

Reiner had seen this kind of effect on the Goblin Priest and the Necromancer.

Every time an attack was deflected, a domino on the Goblin Priest's body would shatter, and because the Necromancer was too far away, he couldn't see clearly whether there were any triggering conditions.

"If you enchant armor, will the wearer be immune to damage caused by magic?" Reiner's eyes lit up.

He saw the value of Aliana.

A warrior like Martina, although protected by armor and not easily affected by physical damage, can easily be threatened by magical attacks from monsters.

When they were escaping earlier, the necromancer burned half of Martina's body.

Reiner changed his mind.

"How long can this effect last?"

"How many times I can withstand magic attacks depends on how long I've been enchanted. If I'm not attacked by magic, the enchantment will gradually dissipate within fifteen days." Aliana's pointed ears twitched, and she said with some pride, "With me, you can enjoy free equipment enchantment service!

How about it, are you moved? "
