Chapter 54: Dimas's Employment (1/2)

Dumas, in his plate armor, stood beside the table.

Although he said nothing.

But Reiner could feel that he was hinting wildly.

After a while, he finally couldn't hold it in any longer and took the initiative to ask Dimas, "What's wrong?"

"The undead have appeared in the south of Merode. We need to enter the ruins to clean up. We now have a mage in the team, but we are still short of one more." He made his point clear, and he was just short of mentioning that he wanted to hire Reiner by name.

"The ruins are dangerous."

"It's just a few skeletons, the risk factor isn't that high. Most of the members participating in this mop-up are militiamen with rich combat experience, about a hundred people in total."

The combat effectiveness of one hundred militiamen is still very impressive.

After all, as far as he knew, the total population of Melode was only about 4,000, and currently there were only about 600 people who were capable of fighting.

Although the scale is not as large as the last time we went to the Dawn Forest to fight against the goblins.

But militiamen who receive regular training are definitely more powerful than most adventurers.

So when Dimas said this, he seemed quite confident.

Reiner said bluntly: "There is a necromancer in the ruins."

Dimas blinked, and after a long silence, he asked doubtfully, "Really?"

"Of course, although I am a person who likes to joke, I will not joke about matters involving human lives." Reiner said seriously.

"How do you know?"

"Three days ago, I rescued a man named Pierre Craig from the ruins. He went berserk, and after briefly regaining his composure, he told me this himself." Reiner pointed to Junice, who was standing nearby. "She was there too, and she heard it, too."

If that wasn't enough to convince Dumas, then that was all he could do.

After all, it was impossible for him to tell everyone about his system tasks.

"Where does Craig live?"

"I don't know. I only know that his father is an honest farmer, and his father fell seriously ill not long ago. I don't know anything else." Reiner spread his hands.

"Wait a mininute."

Dimas turned and walked out of the Adventurer's Guild.

Reiner poked his head out and took a look.

He was talking to the knight named Adeney.

"Reiner, are we really not happy?"

"Let's see. If the price is good, I can give it a try."

"Hmm."

A moment later Dimas came back.

"I will report this matter to the Lord."

"Tuo."

The two fell silent again.

Seeing that he was indeed a quiet person, Reiner asked again, "If I find the ruins, how much will I be paid?"

Dimas said without hesitation: "15 gold coins."

He answered so quickly, I guess he had already simulated it in his head before he went out.

The price is good.

I guess if we kill the necromancer, the reward will be even higher.

"What about Junice's?"

Dimas took a quick look at her and said seriously, "One gold coin."
